"Faith" starts re-shooting after a two-year hiatus.
Kim Hee-seon is coming back with a drama after two years away.
Kim Hee-seon will resume acting in Korea with the drama "Faith". This is her first appearance in the country since her marriage in 2007. This is her first drama since the 2006 SBS drama "Smile Again".
Kim Hee-seon gathered interest from the beginning of discussions about the drama "Faith" since 2010. However, problems with the production caused a delay and naturally, Kim Hee-seon's comeback was also indefinitely postponed.
Kim Hee-seon has been waiting for "Faith" since 2010. She was offered other dramas but she didn't budge. Unlike other stars who get on the next train as soon as there is a problem with the production, Kim Hee-seon kept her loyalty and waited for the drama to resume production.
After a long wait, Kim Hee-seon has started preparing for her comeback.
"Faith" is a fantasy drama that deals with Korean medicine and is based in the Koryo times. Directed by Kim Jong-hak from "Sandglass" and "The Legend", a major outdoor set is being made in the north of the Jeolla Province.
A "Faith"-related official revealed, "We are currently in the process of casting a male role to play opposite Kim Hee-seon. We will start shooting as soon as we have someone and we aim to start broadcasting by the summer".
