During the conference, Jang Keun-suk said "I'd like to ask my fans please not to watch the show. My face looks really ugly in the show and I'm worried my fans will be disappointed", which made the audience laugh.

He also explained why he accepted the casting offer saying "When I received the casting offer, I thought when I would ever have such an opportunity again since it's not just one time experience for a short time. You go there yourself for several days and actually get to make things, this and that. I also wondered how I would behave living in such a remote place".

Jang Keun-suk expressed his fond feeling for the show commenting, "If I had gone to the place alone, I might have showed spoiled Jang Keun-suk. But the two older actors and producer Na helped me bring out the good aspects of me. I had truly a great time there. Now I even get to feel I'm home if I go to the island for filming".

'Three Meals a Day – Fishing Village' is a spinoff of 'Three Meals a Day', an outdoor variety show that featured urban people's life in countryside.
