'Yonsama' Tour Brings Fans to Seoul Concert

About 4,000 Asian fans of Korean actor Bae Yong-joon flocked to a rehearsal of a concert that will be part of Bae's upcoming film in Seoul Saturday.

The fans, who came from such Asian countries as Japan, China, Hong Kong and Taiwan, filled half of the seats at an outdoor stage in Yonsei University in Sinchon, northern Seoul, to see the star filming his upcoming movie "April Snow", Yonhap News Agency reported.

In the movie, Bae plays a lighting director for concerts, and the scenes shot that day involved the actor organizing the lighting system for a rehearsal. Bae finished shooting the scenes at around 6 p.m. with about 50 bodyguards on hand.

Bae did not hold a separate meeting with his Asian fans.

Of all the visitors, about 2,800 people were from Japan, where Bae is affectionately known as "Yonsama". Their visit to the rehearsal set was part of a tour package organized by Bae's managing company BOF and a Japanese tour company.

Co-starring Son Ye-jin, "April Snow" revolves around a man and woman whose spouses have betrayed them. The movie will be released simultaneously in 10 Asian countries in September.
