The Nikan Sport Newspaper reported that the shooting have already started at the beginning of December and Kusanagi Tsuyoshi is very motivated as this is his chance to gain popularity over Korean fans.
According to the Sankaitz Sport Newspaper, the love story, characterisation and the context of the two main characters will remain the same as the original. However, unlike the movie, where the characters were university students, in the drama, Kusanagi Tsuyoshi acts as Marine Biology professor and Tanaka Rena acts as student novelist.
Ever since 'My Sassy Girl' was released in Japan, various Japanese TV broadcasting stations proposed remake of the film into a drama but all faced various difficulties in making final agreement.
