As movie 'Sympathy for Lady Vengeance' starring Lee Young-ae is sold to Japan with an amount of money of $3 million in the 55th Berlin International Film Festival Film Market, Korean movie's high price sale march is being continued.
According to The Variety, a movie-special magazine, CJ Entertainment, the investment distribution firm of 'Sympathy for Lady Vengeance', has entered into a copy right contract regarding the movie's Japan distribution with Toshiba Entertainment, a Japanese disbribution firm with an amount of money over $3 million.
Toshiba Entertainment is the movie distribution firm that had bought 'JSA - Joint Security Area' and 'Old Boy', previous films of director Park Chan-wook.
A person concerned of Toshiba Entertainment is said to have commented that we are proud of putting director Park Chan-wook's latest film on our line-up once again, saying this film will be the best film of director Park.
Director Park's movie 'Sympathy for Lady Vengeance' are the final film in Park's thematically linked trilogy of revenge flicks that started with Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance and continued with the massively acclaimed Old Boy.
