'TV Korea Showcase 2005' held in New Delhi, India.
The Korean Broadcasting Commission's international exchange activity is brisk recently.
First off, the Korean Broadcasting Commission opened a new chapter of broadcasting exchange as the Commission holds 'TV Korea Showcase 2005' as well as a conference in the interests of broadcasting screening industry exchange with Inida in New Delhi, India over two days on June 1-2.
As the first broadcasting exchange cooperation event between Korea and India, this day's event prepared expert's presentation, discussion, and program booth to introduce our country's terrestrial-wave broadcasting as well as cable broadcasting.
Chairman Noh Sung-dai, the Korean Broadcasting Commission, said, "Not only will it be a meeting place for the broadcasting industries of India and Korea to exchange information and ideas, but it will also be an opportunity to examine new trends and the direction of our industry".
He further said, "With particular attention given to the diverse and creative broadcasting content of Korea which has gained much popularity in Taiwan, Japan, Hong Kong etc, in a name of 'Korea Wave', I hope the foundation of understanding of the broadcasting industry and culture of both countries will be established".
Ahead of this event, the Commission held 'TV Korea Showcase 2005' in JW Marriott Hotel of Bangkok,
Thailand on May 30 following Indonesia with the view of supporting oversea inroads for superior broadcasting content industry at home and spreading Hanryu (Korean wave) through this.
An official responsible for 'TV Korea Showcase 2005' oversea tour at the Commission said that the event was a great opportuntiy for on-the-spot interested parties to meet potential partners and to gain insight into Korean TV programs.
TV Korea Showcase is a comprehensive look into Korean Entertainment Industry, including drama series, movies, features films, animation and documentaries.
