Since the night of the 2011 SBS Drama Awards, the 47-year-old actor Han Seok-Kyu's choice of outfit had netizens talking about the entertainer's "thriftiness".
The online forums were abuzz with shocked audience members when they realized that the outfit worn by Han was also his choice of apparel at a press conference he attended two years ago.
The actor's agency confirmed that the grey suit the star wore over a white shirt was "an outfit from the actor's own wardrobe" rather than a brand-new suit or a sponsored designer outfit.
Han's attire made its first public appearance at a press conference for the movie "White Night" in 2010.
One netizen said of the actor's recycled outfit, "He should have made more of an effort because he was being awarded for returning to starring in dramas after 16 years. Nevertheless through his choice in outfit, Han showed us what sets a top star apart".
Another fan said, "Best outfit of the night".
Han made his debut in 1990 as a voice actor through the KBS network. Since then, he has featured in movies such as "Eye for an Eye" (2008) and "Quiz King" (2005).
