Actress Myeong Se-bin and her husband Kang Ho-seong released a joint statement today announcing that they had ended their marriage. The couple had married in August of 2007 and decided to split in January of this year.
The actress-attorney couple distributed the statement to the media to explain their positions. The statement described their emotional progress from love to indifference. They admitted that there were some doubts and troubles over their different life views, personalities, and careers before the wedding. But they decided to go ahead, believing that they could somehow work out the differences. They both apologized for disappointing their loved ones and asked for understanding so they can go on with their lives. Myeong said that although their marriage failed, they still respect and trust each other.
