You might not remember, but he was a child actor of Song Seung-heon 7 years ago when Moon Geun-yeong was the child actor for Song Hye-kyo!
Choi has rested from acting during his middle school and high school years focusing on his studies. He has been in the movie "No Manners" however is his first return in the dramas.
"The Iron Empress" stars Chae Si-ra, Lee Deok-hwa, and Choi Jae-seong.
First episode is airing on January 1st.
