MBC will broadcast the creative animation "Mrs. Blackrose's Stationary Shop" at 4:30 p.m. beginning January 30.
"Mrs. Blackrose's Stationary Shop' is produced in the form of a 2D animation and consists of 26 30-minute episodes. Each episode features a story about a child who visits "Mrs. Blackrose's Stationary Shop" and Mrs. Blackrose herself. The episodes borrowed the motives of Korea's old stories handed down orally, as well as those of Asian legends, folktales, or classic gothic horror stories.
In episode # 1, a story about Jihyeong and his alienation will be broadcasted. In the story, Jihyeong buys a special eraser from the stationary shop, one that erases his memory of anyone he does not like. If he erases the face of somebody on a picture, his memory of that person is completely erased; as such, he cannot remember anything about that person. Jihyeong continues to erase the faces of the people he does not like and finally even tries to erase his memory of his mother.
A representative of MBC said, "This work consists of exciting and cool stories for children who like spooky stories. The popular stories of the past that have been handed down to us orally will become popular again, and it will be a worthwhile endeavor to collect strange stories that can be obtained here and there".
"Mrs. Blackrose's Stationary Shop" will be broadcasted at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesdays.
