Premiering in 1999 on KBS, Happy Together is a hugely successful melodrama that tells the heart-wrenching story of five siblings whose lives are irrevocably changed by the tragic death of their parents. Lee Byung Hun, star of A Bittersweet Life and Everybody Has Secrets, stars as a professional baseball player named Su Tae Poong, who just so happens to be one of the orphaned children, now all grown-up. It seems three of the children were taken away, but for some reason, Suh Tae Poong and his younger sister were left behind. Due to Tae Poong's young age, his little sister had to be given up for adoption. Ever since, the kind-hearted Tae Poong has longed to bring the family back together, searching his whole life for his brother and three sisters. However, the reunion won't be quite what he expected!

In the present day, his elder sister Su Chan Joo (Jo Min Soo) supports her siblings Su Ji Suk (Song Seung Hun from Autumn In My Heart) and Su Moon Joo (Kang Sung Yun). Ji Suk finds himself engaged to Jin Soo Ha (Kim Ha Neul, from Romance). When Tae Poong finally finds his oldest sister and Ji Suk, his estranged siblings tell him to leave! If their coldness wasn't enough, an eight-year-old boy suddenly enters the picture, claiming to be Tae Poong's son. Faced with financial difficulties, Tae Poong turns to Chan Joo for help. Can there be a fairy-tale reconciliation? Or will it take a miracle? Good drama Customer Review Rated Bad 7 - 7 out of 10
This drama is an all star studded cast. The siblings are all well known actors. The love story was entangled when the older brother fell in love with Kim Ha Neul who loves the younger step brother Song Seung Hun.

This is more of a a family drama revolving the oldest brother who is trying to put back together. Very touching, you should not miss it.

 LBH and SSH...wonderful acting.... Customer Review Rated Bad 7 - 7 out of 10
This drama is old but the story is worth waching. Lee Byung Hun and Song Seung Hun did excellent job in their rolls as usual.
As someone else mentioned about correct subtitling...it definitely isn't the best. The DVDs are so expensive that the company that produces these should really proof read them till they are perfect.
Still, I enjoyed the drama and you will too.

I love this series. I watched it 3 times in Korean language (and I speak just English, no Korean) when I had the old print that came with just removable chinese subtitles. I waited patiently for almost 2 years for a version to come out in English. Well here it is, and how disappointing I must say. I would say 90% of the English they put on the screen had grammar and spelling mistakes. And many times words and whole passages that made no sense. In one scene the characters said the word "sacrificing" 4 or 5 times...but the word that kept popping up on the screen was 'scarifying'! It took me a few minutes to realize what word the subtitlers had meant. This is amatuerish beyond belief. They confused the word "me" with "you" and vice versa about 20 times! Who in the world did they pick to do this job? I sure hope they didn't pay him too much. Like when Tae-Pung and Ji-Seok were involved in the fight with the gangsters at the night club. The phrase that kept showing on the screen was "stop, you suckers!", over and over. I don't speak Korean, but I know this was not the literal translation. I have bought many English subtitled K-Dramas from YesAsia. Some had excellent subs like "All About Eve", "Oh! Pil-Seung", "Hotelier"..even "Autumn in My heart" was passable. "All-in" was a disaster, but this subtitling job hit an all-time low. It's frankly embarrassing. A suggestion would be to pull this item from the website, hire someone fluent in both Korean and English and re-do this so it makes a bit of sense to the average English speaker.
