Korea's leading directors, including Kim Moon-saeng, director of "Wonderful Days", Kim Byeong-gap and Jang Wuksang, general art director for Ice Age, and others are the lecturers in the "Animation Workshop" offered by the Cyber Culture Contents Academy.
The animation workshop is offered by the Academy to mark its sixth year of existence and features 10 leading domestic animation directors as lecturers.
In this course, lectures about the study of the animation industry, animation planning, and the cases and practices of Hollywood animation are planned for inclusion. In particular, as famous domestic animation directors are set to lecture about their respective expertise and practical know-how, the workshop is expected to attract a huge number of participants, from those who are seriously considering making a career in the animation industry to those who are simply interested in seeing the inside story about the industry.
The theoretical lecture in the first part is taken by Professor Kim Seihun (Department of Comic Animation of Seijong University), and Kang Da-eil, director of "Iron Kid" and recipient of the Superiority Prize of Animation of Korea in 2006. As for the practical lectures, lecturers include Nam Jongsik, director of Armageddon, Hong Seok-hwa, director of "Arari Show", which recently signed a broadcasting contract with NHK, and Yeong-Yeong, director of "I Need a Father" that received the 2nd Prize in the Hiroshima International Animation.
Aside from the new animation workshop, the Academy's existing workshops on animation, record production, character, mobile internet, comic publishing, movie directing and cartoon are also being promoted.
