HAN Seok-kyu and CHA Seung-won's On-screen Showdown

HAN Seok-kyu and CHA Seung-won will play the leading roles in a crime film with the Korean title Nooneneun Noon, i-eneun i, which means "Eye for an Eye, Tooth for a Tooth". HAN's character is a top detective and CHA will play a bold criminal who doesn't hesitate to commit a crime even with the police present.

AHN Kwon-tae is directing and the film is a production of Taewon Entertainment en Yoobiyoo Film. AHN is the writer/director of the 2004 film "My Brother" ("Hello Brother"). Filming started in June and the film will be released next year.

HAN and CHA are both major actors in Korea. HAN's accolades include "Shiri" and "Christmas in August". CHA started out in comedies like My Teacher, Mr.Kim, but now also takes on dramatic roles like in "Blood Rain".

The 8th Shanghai International Film Festival invites a total of 7 Korean movies

A total of 7 Korean moviesare being screened right now in the 8th Shanghai International Film Festival, which will be continued by June 19.

In its Asian New Talent Award, first off 'My Brother' directed by Ahn Kwon-tae, unfolds a synopsis in which The younger brother, Jong-hyeon is a good-looking, class-A fighter. The older brother, Seong-hyeon is tender and pure, a class-A student.

They've been fighting nearly for 17 years. Trouble began when their mother favored Seong-hyeon over his younger brother. Round two began when both brothers fell for the same girl, Mi-ryeong.

When the long-simmering emotions finally explode and a huge fight breaks out, Seong-hyeon tells his younger brother something he had never been able to say before: "Jong-hyeon, would you call me hyeong just once? I've never heard it before from you..".

"Hyeong" - the word that younger Korea brothers call their older brothers. And yet Jong-hyeon has never said it to his brother.

Won Bin Attends Premiere of "My Brother" in Bangkok

Actor Won Bin, who received much acclaim for his role in "Taegeukgi", met with his Thai fans at the premiere of "My Brother", which was held Jan. 12 at 7:30 p.m. (9:30 p.m. Korean time) at the Major Cineplex in Bangkok.

Won Bin attended the premiere along with the movie's director Ahn Kwon-tae. The actor was warmly welcomed by the audience of more than 500 people, who filled the premiere venue to its capacity. Bin, who visited Thailand for the first time, said he had no idea he had so many fans in this country.

Sources say Bin's visit to Thailand was quite unplanned, stating he was suddenly invited to Bangkok by the movie company that had imported "My Brother". "Taegeukgi", in which Bin co-stars with Jang Dong-gun, has also received a favorable response in Thailand recently.

Won Bin is one of the "hallyu" stars who has many ardent fans in Thailand and whose popularity has skyrocketed since the TV drama "Autumn Fairy Tale", in which he starred, became well known abroad....| More
