Stars' Campus Life? Students before entertainers

Stars are wonderful and handsome. They seem to be fantastic inside or outside the TV. However, away from the camera, they are just normal people. Especially entertainers who go to school are simply students.

For these stars, pictures of their school life are becoming big news. The reason is because they give a feeling of familiarity. They draw attention with their normal appearance or eye-catching looks, and the public appreciates this.

We looked into the campus life of stars of the new generation.

Singers, making their debuts as actors in TV dramas?

Yoon Kye-sang, Son Ho-young, Danny Ahn, Rain, Eric, Yoon Eun-hye, Ahn So-hee, Lee Min-woo, Park Jeong-ah..
This is the list of top Korean singers.

Their talents and individuality attracted so many fans to fall in love with them. Sometime as a solo, and other times as a member in a group, they had been on the stage singing for their fans.

However, a whole new story kicks in when they choose the screen as their new stage. The long stagnation in music industry and the introduction of a new concept of "multi-entertainer" increased the demand for multi-talented stars who are talented in not only singing but dancing and acting as well. Consequently, these singers made acting as their second career.

For example, "Rain" (Jung Ji-hoon) in Director Park Chan-wook's "I'm a Cyborg, But That's OK", Eric Moon (Moon Jung-hyuk) in "A Bittersweet Life" and "Diary of June" and Yoon Eun-hye in "The Legend of Seven Cutter" have all made their debuts in the film industry.

New Movies: "Little Prince", "Sweeny Todd" & "Hellcats"

Time to check on what's new at the movies.
We have two Korean movies one a drama and the other starring a member of pop sensation Wonder Girls.
There is also the latest from director Tim Burton, who won two Golden Globe awards for a remake of Sweeny Todd.
Here's Lee Jeewon.
First up this week is "Little Prince", a story of an unlikely friendship between a workaholic and a seven-year-old boy.
Polyartist Jongchul falls into despair after losing his family.
But his accidental meeting with a small boy named Youngwoong lifts his spirits.
He finds himself wanting to take care of the boy as Youngwoong has a fate even worse than his own.
Distributors say the film is perfect for people who've forgotten how to cherish those around them due to work.

Next is "Sweeney Todd", a film adaptation of a musical of the same title.
The sixth collaboration between Johnny Depp and director Tim Burton won the Best Motion Picture and Best Actor awards at the Golden Globes.

"Hellcats" Is Charmingly Off-Tune

Puberty, angst-ridden youth and menopause, first kisses, marriage and a Demi Moore-Ashton Kutcher-type romance. Director Kwon Chil-in dishes out an endearingly off-key romantic comedy "Hellcats" as he traces the lives and loves of three ladies at different stages of womanhood.

While the particular age of these ladies is their defining trait, the movie is no Klimt painting mapping out the "Three Ages of Woman".

It's a classic commercial flick that boasts mass appeal with its tactful casting, trend-spotting ploys and elements of fantasy. But there are nevertheless pleasant surprises that fill in for the holes of the loosely structured script, making it rather believable and even slightly touching.

Star Power Reigns Big Screen

This year, a long lineup of star-studded movies, both homegrown and Hollywood imports, awaits release with Korea's hottest stars and bona fide actors gracing the silver screen throughout 2008.

While a high profile cast hasn't always guaranteed a sellout, it would be hard to walk past movie posters featuring top stars.

The New Year starts off with a bang. Jeon Ji-hyeon (also known as Gianna Jun) makes her long-awaited comeback after a two-year hiatus opposite Hwang Jeong-min in "A Man Who Was Superman", to open across theaters Jan. 31.

The movie garnered attention by butchering down Jeon's "wholesome" image for the role of a chain-smoking, tomboyish filmmaker. Meanwhile, fans are anxious to see how Hwang will pull off his interesting role as an unconventional Superman.
