Han Bo-bae of "Last Scandal", comeback with child role in daily drama

Han Bo-bae of MBC "Last Scandal" will star in KBS TV novel "Big Sister" as the child main role.

"Big Sister" will portray the lives of three sisters after they lose their parents.

Han Bo-bae will be the younger version of the eldest sister Song In-ok (Jeon Hye-jin).

Song In-ok is an optimistic character who doesn't lose hope and confidence even in hard situations. Han Bo-bae, who received much love for being Choi Jin-sil's goofy daughter in "Last Scandal", will make a complete transformation as a warm, committed older sister.

"Last Scandal" hits its highest ratings (19.2%) in its 4th week on air

Choi Jin-sil, Jeong Joon-ho, and Jeong Woong-in star together in "Last Scandal", a romantic comedy and special MBC weekend TV drama (Scriptwriter: Moon Hee-jeong, Director: Lee Tae-gon-I). The show reached its highest viewership rating of 19.2% in its 4th week on the air (TNS).

The first episode of "Last Scandal" garnered a viewership rating of 19.2% and every week, its ratings have rise by 1 to 2 percent, which is a solid performance considering that it is competing against dramas on other networks that premiered earlier than "Last Scandal.

The growing popularity of "Last Scandal" in the last four weeks was made possible by the brilliant acting performances given by Choi Jin-sil and Jeong Joon-ho along with an excellent script written by Moon Hee-jeong, whose previous works include "The Daring Sisters". [TV review] Charming ruins the dreams of de Beauvoir

"I have a dream", declared one acquaintance at a recent lunch.
Expecting to hear something equal to Martin Luther King Jr'.s epoch-making speech, I took time to enjoy her facial expression, which reminded the listeners of the African-American minister.
"It is to fax my letter of resignation to work after walking down the aisle with Prince Charming", she said.
Wait. What kind of a dream is that to declare in public?
She's joking, right?
But she went on, words that trampled all over anything that Simone de Beauvoir and Gloria Steinem ever wrote or stood for.
To be honest, it was even more frustrating because she earns a much better salary than me.
I even lost my appetite for dessert and coffee, which rarely happens.
She started to complain how her company is taking her for granted, but I ceased listening for the sake of my mental health.

Ajumma now depicted as smart, strong, cool

Call it ajumma power.
Ajumma is Korean for middle-aged women, and ajumma characters are currently in full control of the screen ― both television and film.
But they are no longer portrayed as aggressive or hot-tempered, for example, as a woman dashing for a vacant seat in the subway or elbowing other ajumma for the last grocery item on sale. They no longer wear loose floral-print pants or sport curly hair.
Their aggressiveness is presented rather as an endearing trait ― as enthusiasm for life and full tolerance of others.
Jung-geum (played by Bae Jong-ok) from MBC TV's "The Unique Park Jung-geum" is one example.
Jung-geum is a 38-year-old detective in charge of investigating violent crimes and a single mom living with a child. Her divorce transformed her into an uncompromising, tough woman.
