TV and movie stars trying their hand at theater is a common occurrence. But for Kim Ji-ho, the case is a little different. After doing her first play in 2006, she went back to TV shows and then this summer she returned to the theater with the play "Proof".
The actress said she was so into plays and missed the theater so much that she immediately started working on the piece even before the drama's shooting ended.
Ever since her first play "Closer", Kim said she was attracted to plays since it was a lot different from TV dramas and movies.
"Because of the time restriction, careful analysis of a character is almost impossible for TV dramas", Kim said at the press conference held in Seoul on June 26. "I enjoy taking time to study the character and also love being able to interact with the audience doing plays".

Actress and former K-Pop artist, Eugene (Yoo Jin), has been selected to be the "PiFan Lady" by the organizational committee of the 12th Puchon International Fantastic Film Festival (PiFan).

In a recent television show, renowned actor Jo Jae-hyeon stressed the necessity of star-studded theater marketing in a recent to make audience turn to plays from musicals.
As if his dreams of boosting local dramas came true, a growing number of people are rushing to theaters in Daehangno, central Seoul.
This is because of "Yeongeuk Yeoljeon 2" (A Series of the Best Plays) now showing in the district. The plays started on Dec. 7 and will continue until Jan. 4 next year.
The best-play series project comes four years after the 2004 "Yeongeuk Yeoljeon 1" put 15 best picks selected from the works performed between 1980 and 2000 on stage.
The first one drew about 170,000 people over the year, contributing to boosting the theatrical drama industry in the district.
