Korean star JANG Hyeok's English language debut film Dance of the Dragon's premiere is imminent. Building up to the release of the big budget film, its director John Radel compared JANG to James Dean.

Radel also praised the versatility JANG displayed, including martial arts and dance skills while maintaining a high level of acting during his first English language role. Radel predicted a bright international career for JANG after people all over the world will see him in Dance of the Dragon.

Dance of the Dragon is a co-production between South Korea, Singapore and the U.S., starring JANG, Fann Wong (Singapore), and Jason Scott Lee (U.S.). JANG and Lee's characters are rivals for the love of Fann. The love story mixes ballroom dancing with action.

The world premiere party will take place on May 1 in Singapore. JANG arrived in Singapore prior to the premiere for promotional activities and interviews.

Actor Jang Hyeok has surprised his fans by making a cameo appearance in the brand new Japanese drama series entitled "My Sassy Girl", a remake of a Korean film by the same title.

Jang appeared in the first episode of the drama series, which was aired on Japan's TBS on April 20, with Tsuyoshi Kusanagi and Lena Tanaka.

Jang took on the role of Korean Hallyu star "Jang Hyeok" who appears in the dreams of Kusanagi and Tanaka. Taking revenge on Kusanagi for attacking his younger brother, he aims a gun at his enemy inside a warehouse located at a construction site.

Jang's management agency SidusHQ said the actor was able to get the role after he appeared as a guest on the "Tsuyoshi Kusanagi 2" talk show on Fuji TV on February 8. The director of the show reportedly added new scenes for Jang that were not included in the original script.

After shooting the episode, Kusanagi, a member of the popular boy band SMAP, said he had fun working with Jang, whom he described as a down-to-ear...

It seems we will meet "Friend", which premiered in 2001 and drew 8 million viewers, on television.

The production company is planning to produce "Friend" as a drama, and director Kwak Kyung-taek will hold the megaphone once more. "Friend" drew a lot of popularity from the start, left many catchphrases, and allowed Jang Dong-gun to officially rise up in stardom.

Jang Dong-gun and Yoo Oh-seong starred with strong Pusan accents and captivated audiences with their acting. The drama will cast stars with other styles but the list, of course, includes top stars.

Actor Jang Hyeok, 31, who stars as a playboy in the SBS drama "Robber" ― aired on Wednesdays and Thursdays, became a father Friday.

Jeong Ji-cheol of SidusHQ, the manager of Jang, announced that Jang's wife gave birth to a baby boy.

Jang's wife, Kim, 33, was a Pilates instructor when they first met at a fitness club in 2002. Jang thanked her for her support during his hardship.

The couple was registered as married in January, however, they have not held the wedding ceremony yet. The ceremony will be held in June at a hotel in Seoul.

Jang first starred in the TV drama "Models" (1997) and later shot movies such as "Volcano High" (2001) and "Windstruck" (2004) with Jeon Ji-hyeon, also known as Gianna Jun.

However, he was accused of intentionally avoiding the mandatory army service and entered the military in 2004 with other famous actors Song Seung-heon and Han Jae-seok.

Jang Hyeok's Hollywood debut film, "Dance of the Dragon"'s image cuts were released.

On 22nd, the "Dance of the Dragon"'s 20 main photos including Jang Hyeok's exposed bare chest was uploaded on the American film website, IMDB (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0963287/).

"Dance of the Dragon" is a collaboration work between Korea, Singapore and US and is a story of a Korean man, Kwon Tae-san's journey of becoming a ballroom dance champion. Jang Hyeok is acting the role of Kwon Tae-san and is devoting himself in his first global project, revealing his skills in Jeet Kune Do, which he learned for 7 years. Other casts include Singapore's top star, Fann Wong as his dancing partner and Hollywood star, Jason Scott Lee as his rival.

The uploaded photos include bare-chested Jang Hyeok showing a movement in Jeek Kune Do as well as him in an elegant dance pose with Fann Wong in a black dance suit.
