"For Eternal Hearts" Invited to Tokyo Int'l Film Festival

The movie "For Eternal Hearts" starring Jeong Kyeong-ho, Kim Min-seon and Cha Soo-yeon has been invited to the "Winds of Asia" category of the Tokyo International Festival, which opens Oct. 20.

Launched in 1985, the festival has emerged as one of Asia's top film festivals, along with the Pusan International Film Festival.

"Winds of Asia" screens outstanding movies from the entire Asian region, including the Middle East. This year, it chose Korea's "For Eternal Hearts".

Jeong Kyeong-ho will visit Japan Oct. 20 to walk the red carpet of the festival and meet with viewers on Oct. 21-22 after the movie's screening. ...| More

Jeong Jin-yeong, Eom Tae-woong, Jeong Kyeong-ho to join Director Lee Joon-ik

The male cast for Director Lee Joon Ik's new film has been determined.

With Soo-ae as the female lead, Jeong Jin-yeong, Eom Tae-woong, and Jeong Kyeong-ho will join.

Jeong Jin-yeong who has appeared in three out of four films by the director will once again appear as Jung Man, the member of a traveling performer group. Jung Man is chased away to Vietnam after by loan sharks and creates a performing group and tries to recruit Soon Yi (Soo-ae) as his vocal playing a selfish and materialistic character.

Eom Tae-woong who has been praised for his roles in 'Resurrection' ("Revenge"), 'Devil' and the movie 'Family Ties' ("The Birth of a Family") will play the role of Sang Kil, Soon Yi's husband and will draw the life of a character who survives through a brutal war. Eom Tae-woong recently completed the filming of 'The Best Moment of Our Lives' and has also been cast for the omniversal film 'My Love' by Director Lee Han.

They say first loves never die, and "For Eternal Hearts" immortalizes onscreen the allure and power of youthful passions. Dreams and remembrances delightfully converge in this haunting love story that transcends the borders of life and death, and leaps over the passage of time.

Su-yeong (Jeong Jin-yeong) is a quiet, middle-aged professor of German literature at a local university. At the request of his students, he reminiscently recounts his first love that stole his heart during his college days. As a young man Su-yeong was shy, naive and studious (Jeong Kyeong-ho). But his life is forever changed when he meets the wild and eccentric "Pippi" (Kim Min-seon).

Sponge to Release Eternal Hearts

Art-house, indie, and foreign importer Sponge Entertainment will release "For Eternal Hearts", HWANG Kyoo-deok's supernatural melodrama that World Premiered as the curtain raiser for this year's Puchon International Fantastic Film Festival (July 12-21). The film will have a limited local release, August 9th at Sponge's independent theater chain called Sponge House. It stars JEONG Jin-yeong ("The King and the Clown"), JEONG Kyeong-ho ("Gangster High") and KIM Min-seon ("Memento Mori").

Written by HWANG, the film is a tale within a tale, narrated by Su-young, a forty-ish college professor recounting to his class the memory of his first love when he was a college student. 11th PiFan Opens Thursday

The 11th Puchon International Fantastic Film Festival (PiFan) kicked off Thursday in the Gyeonggi province city of Puchon.

The opening film 'Into the Starlight' will be screened at the evening opening ceremony emceed by actor Kim Tae-woo and actress Choo Sang-mi.

The PiFan PR envoys, actors Lee Wan and Song Chang-ee, will stay throughout the festival period. The cast of the opening film, Kim Min-seon, Jeong Kyeong-ho and Cha Soo-yeon, will also attend the opening ceremony.

The two hundred fifteen films from 33 countries to be screened during the 10 day festival cover a wide range of genres including horror, thrillers, mystery and fantasy to suit the varied taste of attending fans.
