 Actor Song Il-gook (37) and a 32-year-old Busan High Court Judge identified only by her family name "Jung" held a private wedding away from the media spotlight at the Sheraton Walkerhill Hotel in Seoul on March 15.
Officiated by the President of Chung-Ang University Park Beom-hoon, the traditional Korean-style wedding ceremony was attended by one thousand guests. Jazz artist Yoon Hee-jeong and singer Park Ae-ri from the National Changgeuk Company of Korea performed nuptial songs for the bride and groom.
The bride passed the bar exam while doing the doctorate course in the code of civil procedure at Seoul National University's Graduate School of Law. She finished her mandatory training at the Judicial Research and Training Institute in January and became appointed as a Busan High Court Judge in February. Song and Jung were introduced by a mutual friend. They tied the knot after two years of dating.

Actor Song Il-gook, 37, filed a 2 billion won libel suit against a reporter who alleged that he hit her, and an Internet news company that first reported the story.
A freelance writer, who mainly contributes to a monthly ladies' magazine sued Song first, Jan. 24. She insisted that Song hit her with his elbow when she approached him, without an appointment, for an interview in front of his house. Although she acknowledged that he didn't seem to have intended to push her, she said that she sustained an injury, which will take six months to heal completely. She has requested an apology from the actor.
Song, however, denied hitting or having any physical contact with her and claimed that she defamed him. Song Il-kook, 37, hero of the widely popular epic drama "Jumong" (2006) and "Lobbyist",(2007) will tie the knot in the first half of the year.
Song and his girlfriend met two years ago when the actor was still shooting the MBC drama "Jumong". His fiancee passed the state-run bar exam last year and is currently a student at the Legal Training and Research Institute.
Dates and other specific plans have not been decided yet, according to his agency.
When rumors about Song's wedding surfaced in 2007, the actor and his agency denied the stories and said that the he was seeing someone but there were no plans of a wedding any time soon.
Song, also the son of actress Kim Eul-dong, became a hit star with his acting in "Jumong (2006)", where he portrayed the historical hero Jumong, the founder of ancient Goguryeo (37 B.C-A.D.660). Actress Lee Soo-kyeong and actor Kim Ji-hoon-I will play a married couple in the upcoming KBS weekend drama series, 'Golden Era of Daughter in Law'.
The series will focus on the power conflict between daughter-in-laws in their twenties and thirties and their mother-in-laws with a comical twist.
The character Cho Mi Jin, played by actress Lee Soo-kyeong who has starred in the MBC sitcom 'Soul Mate' and other drama series, is a new employee of an apparel company who becomes the daughter-in-law of a family running a pork hock restaurant with a 60 year tradition.
Lee Bok Soo, the eldest son of the family and planning director of the company Mi Jin works at, will be played by actor Kim Ji-hoon-I.
Yoon Yeo-Jeong, Kim Eul-Dong, Yeo Woon-kye, Park In-Hwan, and other well known actors were cast of the series as well.

Jumong's Song Il-gook As Most Impressive Second-Generation Celebrity
Result from the website DC Inside survey ranks Ha Jeong-Woo as second place.
Currently, in the midst of the boom of second-generation celebrities, actor Song Il-gook who had the title role in the drama "Jumong", which aired early this year, was ranked as first as the most impressive second-generation celebrity.
