On a breezy spring day in March 2008, the entertainment investigation team of Sports Khan sensed an emergency. The argument between female stars about their influence has become fierce, almost to the point of battle. Accordingly, under the supervision of Detective Choi, the entertainment investigation team had a briefing on the 'Map of Various Powerful Female Stars'. A record of the questions and answers from the briefing are provided.
Detective Choi: As you all know, we've gathered here to discuss the toppling balance of the influence of top female celebrities. Firstly, the 'super model' group has almost taken over the 'Miss Korea' group and has become the 'big sister' of the entertainment industry. Also, the new 'internet beauty' group is extended its boundaries. Contrary to these changes, the 'horror story' group is still steadily on the top.

An upcoming local film with Hollywood action star Steven Seagal will be reduced by eight minutes in an attempt for a lower rating.
"Clementine", starring South Korean action star Lee Dong-jun, actress Kim Hye-ri and Seagal, received an "18-and-over" rating last month from the media ratings board. The filmmakers then cut or rerecorded eight minutes of the film that the board found objectionable, which mostly had to do with crude and sexual language, and was able to get a "15-and-over" rating last week.
The film was reduced to 100 minutes from 108 minutes and many scenes with comedian Kim Yong were taken out, according to Pulse Star, the company behind the film.
"Clementine" stars Lee as a martial arts expert who, after unfairly losing a taekwondo championship match to Seagal seven years ago, is forced to do so again after his daughter is kidnapped. ...| More

There is a corner of the local film industry that keeps churning out historical adventures even though they keep flopping at the box office. Indeed, watching Korean historical adventures like "Bicheonmu" (2000), "The Legend of Gingko" (2000) and "Sword in the Moon" (2003) was like witnessing the evolution of boredom.
Another "legend" will join the rank this Friday, this time "The Legend of Evil Lake" (Korean title: "Cheonnyeonho"), which sinks to another level by combining two old stereotypes about Korean cinema ("Historical adventures are bad" and "Jeong Joon-ho films are bad") into one frightening Jeong Joon-ho historical adventure.
Those with a youthful spirit may arm themselves with an ironic attitude to enjoy the sheer spectacle of bad pop culture, but for the rest of us, the film is a chore to watch.
In the film, Silla founder Bak Hyeokkeose annihilates a rival tribe and seals grumpy chieftain Auta in a lake with a sword. Fast-forward about a thousand years to the wani...| More
