'The Country of Wind' written by Kim Jin will be written to a Novel

Kim Jin-I, who won 'Best of 2008 Korean Animations' with his work 'The Country of Wind', will be challenged in the novel with his work.

Since 2003 he had been working on writing and production and finally published the volume 1- 'The Country of Father'. And now he has a plan which is publishing up to volume 5 in two years.

'The Country of Wind' has been produced as various genres like musical and drama ("Land of Wind") as well as animation. Especially, he has been participated in new areas actively like musical scenario production to show his enthusiasm in his works which have been produced in various genres.

A novel 'The Country of Wind' has more detailed outlook on the world than animation, musical, and drama. The characters have been described in different point of view from drama which has been currently televised. King Yuri has been described as a person with a lot of patience for national interest in drama but his character is more focused on humanism in the novel.

Kim Jin-I published the 2nd special edition of 'Nation of Wind 2'

Two of 'Nation of Wind', the masterpiece of Kim Jin-I, will be published soon.

Economics Media (http://www.ecomix.co.kr) announced that they would provide the President Award '2008 Korean Comic Award' and two special editions which are the original ones of a KBS drama called 'Land of Wind' would be published.

This work has been started from off-line series in 1992 and now is serialized in WE6 (http:.www.we6.co.kr) which has been operated by cartoon writers of medium standing. It has been published in book forms till volume 22 by Sigongsa (a publishing company). And Economics Media (a publishing company) published it from volume 23 to 25. The special edition is reconstructing volume 1 to 22 to 400 pages based on manuscript corrected by digital works.

TV Dramas Gear Up for Post-Olympics Race

The Beijing Olympic Games will end Sunday, so what is worth seeing after the Olympic flame goes out? For TV fans, major networks are gearing up for a competition with their most anticipated dramas.

MBC will start the race off with "East of Eden" Monday. The drama has made headlines with its star-studded cast even before shooting, with big names like Song Seung-heon, Yeon Jeong-hoon, Lee Da-hae and Han Ji-Hye and veteran actors Yoo Dong-geon and Lee Mi-sook.

The drama is the first for Song and Yeon since they got out of the Army.

The 50-part series cost 25 billion won and tells of the brothers Dong-chul (Song) and Dong-wook (Yeon). Their fates diverge after the murder of their coal miner father, with one joining the mob and the other becoming a successful lawyer.

Song Il-gook Wraps Shoot in China

The team of KBS 2TV's drama, "Land of Wind", finally wrapped up its shoot with Song Il-gook in China and returned to Korea on July 30th.

According to its production company, Chorokbaem Media, the "Land of Wind" team left for Shanghai on June 16th and spent 45 days filming around China. Many of the scenes were shot in Wuxi, about one to two hours from Shanghai by car, Lanzhou and Zingtai, which is two hours from Beijing by plane.

"We had difficulty filming due to the monsoon", said Chorokbaem. "And toward the end, we were rushed and pressed for time".

After one day off, the filming crew will continue the "Land of Wind" shoot as they travel through the countryside of Korea.

Set for a temporary September release, "Land of Wind" is a 36-part drama based on the popular graphic novel series by Kim Jin-I. "Jumong", "All In", and "Heo Jun" writer Choi Wan-gyoo wrote the teleplay and Kang Il-soo of "Emperor of the Sea" fame is directing. ...| More
