Jumong's Song Il-gook As Most Impressive Second-Generation Celebrity
Result from the website DC Inside survey ranks Ha Jeong-Woo as second place.

Currently, in the midst of the boom of second-generation celebrities, actor Song Il-gook who had the title role in the drama "Jumong", which aired early this year, was ranked as first as the most impressive second-generation celebrity.

The digital camera community website called DC Inside ran a survey among the internet users from June 4th to 11th that ranked "The Most Impressive Second-Generation Celebrity". It was revealed on the 12th that the results showed that among 1,410 people who took the survey, the highest amount of 505 votes (36%) were for Song Il-gook.

As the son of a famous actress Kim Eul-Dong, Song Il-gook started to receive recognition through the KBS drama, "Terms of Endearment", and continued to gain popularity through "Emperor of the Sea", and "Jumong".

Like physical ability, talent is apparently something that runs in the family, too. This passing on of the gift for acting or singing can be seen this fall in the rush of second-generation male stars dominating both big and small screens.

When Kim Joo-hyeok played the role of a stuffy assistant teacher on "KAIST" in 1999, he easily could have passed as an extra picked up on the set. Not only was his delivery of lines awkward, his overall performance was just plain bad, critics said. But experience gained on the job eventually led him to landing his first major role as a detective in the 2002 thriller "Say Yes", which he starred alongside Choo Sang-mi and Park Joong-hoon. TV Actor Kim Moo-saeng Dies at 62

Actor Kim Moo-saeng died of pneumonia at the age of 62 on Saturday.

After studying at Dongguk University in Seoul, Kim debuted as a voice actor for Tongyang Broadcasting Company (TBC), which became KBS in 1963. Since his television acting debut in 1969, Kim had been featured in more than 100 films, soap operas and dramas, including "Wedding Dress", "Trap of Youth", "Lee Je-ma", and most recently, "Save the Last Dance for Me", which ended on Jan. 2.

Kim suffered from lung disease for the past two years and was in a coma for over a month.

Kim is survived by his wife, Kim Ui-sook, and two sons, Ju-hyeon and Ju-hyeok. His second son Ju-hyeok is also a popular film and television actor. He starred in "Mr. Hong" and "Singles" and appeared in a television commercial with his father last year. ...| More
