Sequel of cult film Attack the Gas Station

A sequel of the 1999 comedy "Attack the Gas Station!" (Jooyooso Seubgyeoksageon) is planned to enter cinemas in its tenth anniversary year. Like the original, the sequel will also be in the hands of director KIM Sang-jin. It was announced that the scenario is halfway finished. Actors have not been cast yet.

"Attack the Gas Station!" chronicles the take over of a gas station by a young group of society's outsiders. Its cast included LEE Seong-jae ("Daisy"), KIM Soo-ro ("Vampire Cop Ricky") and LEE Yo-won ("May 18"/Hwaryohan Hyooga).

KIM also directed the comedies "Kick the Moon" (Silla-uiDalbab) and "Ghost House" (Gwisini Sanda). KIM started out as a assistant director on KANG Woo-seok's classic comedy "Two Cops".

Lawyers vie for top spot in drama line-up

Though the tagline for MBC's new Wednesday and Thursday night miniseries "The Lawyers of The Great Republic Korea" is "Love versus money", with two superhero dramas out right now, it should really read, "superheroes versus lawyers".

Following on the heels of the abysmal drama on reporters, "Spotlight", which ended on a sour note last Thursday, this romantic comedy will need more than a few lawyers to compete SBS' with "Iljimae".

The star power of Lee Joon-ki as a Joseon Dynasty superhero in the hit SBS drama has swept viewer ratings nationwide. And celebrities Lee Seong-jae and Lee Soo-kyeong will need to showcase some stellar acting and flawless comic timing in order to nab audiences in "Daehanminguk Byeonhosa" ("The Lawyers of The Great Republic Korea").

Lee Seong-jae, Han Eun-jeong, Lee Soo-kyeong, Lead roles for new MBC Drama

Lee Seong-jae, Han Eun-jeong, Lee Soo-kyeong, and Ryoo Soo-yeong were cast for the drama "The Lawyers of The Great Republic Korea", to air after "Spotlight".

"The Lawyers of The Great Republic Korea" is a drama about the love line and struggle between two lawyers who are representing a fighting couple.

Lee Seong-jae plays Han Min-gook, who maintains a million dollar fortune. Han Eun-jeong was chosen for top actress Lee Ae-ri, who files a lawsuit for 100 billion won against her husband Han Min-gook.

Han Min-Kook's lawyer is a newcomer, Woo Lee-kyeong, played by Lee Soo-kyeong. The lawyer for Lee Ae-ri, Byeon Hyeok, is from a famous law firm, and is played by Ryoo Soo-yeong.

It will air in the beginning of July.

Actor Lee Seong-jae cast as title role of drama "Shirasoni"

Actor Lee Seong-jae will play the role of the legendary fighter Shirasoni (Lee Sung Soon).

According to his agency on the 16th, "Lee Seong-jae has signed on to star in the 52-episode series 'Shirasoni' with Ibon Entertainment".

This series will be written by Lee Hwan-gyeong who also wrote "The Age of Heroes", and directed by PD Jang Hyeong Il who worked on "Rustic Period", "Jang Gil San", and others. On location filming in China is also being discussed.

Shirasoni is a legendary fighter that was active on the Korean peninsula and in China during the Japanese colonial period. He also was involved in politics after Korea's independence supporting Shin Ik Hee, Cho Byung Ohk, and others, and passed away in 1983.

Kim Tae-hee VS Seol Kyeong-gu

Han Ji-seung is directing Kim Tae-hee and Seol Kyeong-gu in the action comedy "Fight" ("Venus and Mars") . The two stars play characters who were once a loving couple, but now Kim's character is battling Seol's character as she ended up hating him.

Kim is popular as she combines good looks with brains. She has experience with action scenes because of her role in the big budget film "The Restless".

Seol is one of korea's experienced top actors. His acting talent led to roles ranging from Lee Chang-dong's "Peppermint Candy" and "Oasis", to blockbuster action films like "Silmido".

Han directed "A day" in 2000. "A day" is a drama featuring ko so-young ("Double Agent") and lee seong-jae ("Daisy").
