Actress and former K-Pop artist, Eugene (Yoo Jin), has been selected to be the "PiFan Lady" by the organizational committee of the 12th Puchon International Fantastic Film Festival (PiFan).

Last year, Eugene (Yoo Jin) made her silver screen debut with the movie "Unstoppable Marriage", and is currently in the middle of filming "198th Page of That Man's Book" with actor Lee Dong-wook. During the course of the film festival (July 18th-27th), Eugene (Yoo Jin) will participate in its various public and promotional events.

Lee Wan, Cast as main character for movie "Goose's Dream" - transformation into a boxer

Actor Lee Wan was cast as the main character for "Goose's Dream" after the movie "Boys Don't Cry", set to come out this fall.

"Goose's Dream" is about the life and dream of a boy Jeong-woo (Lee Wan) who has gambled his life on boxing. It will be a low-budget film, produced by the Korean Film Council, KBS, and the Chonbuk Provincial Government as a HD movie.

Lee Wan plays Jeong-woo, who has been obsessed with boxing since he was young. After meeting Ki-chul (Im Kyeong-eob) who has an inborn talent for boxing, Jeong-woo gives up boxing and lives his own life.

The theme of this movie is that the achievement of a dream starts with not giving up that dream. It is to embrace the hearts of those who have difficulties because of the separation between their dreams of youth and dreams of reality.

Jun Jin Prepares to Take Japan by Storm

Shinhwa member Jun Jin will hold his first solo concert in Japan, the same year Shinhwa reaches the 10-year anniversary of their debut.

Jun Jin has planned two performances on the 26th (2pm, 7pm) at the C.C. Lemon Hall in Tokyo for 5000 fans. There was only one show originally scheduled but when the 2500 tickets sold out in five minutes, they decided to add another performance.

Since this is Jun Jin's first solo concert in Japan, he sought out director Kim Seo-ryong, one of the best in the field at stage productions for concerts. They are also planning a pan-Asian tour during which the singer's first solo album will be released to coincide with his concert in Korea.

Prior to his Tokyo concert, Jun Jin is scheduled to meet fans for a two-day trip through Fukushima, Japan. They will dine together, play group games, take commemorative photos, and the singer will sign personal autographs.

In the "hardboiled" romantic comedy "Venus and Mars" (working title), two unlikely actors have teamed up to give new meaning to a lover's quarrel. Screen star Kim Tae-hee has cast off her sweet and elegant image to play a bitter ― and violent ― woman while bona fide actor Seol Kyeong-gu has toned down his tough on-screen persona to play the battered husband.

"It's basically about two people, who, before getting married, couldn't stand being apart, but afterwards can't stand each other", said Sul during a recent press event.

The film could be seen as a homegrown version of "The War of the Roses" (starring Michael Douglas) with a touch of Brangelina's "Mr. and Mrs. Smith". To this, director Han Ji-seung ("A Day") said he was definitely influenced by the Michael Douglas movie, but "Venus and Mars" was actually inspired by the true, ultra-dramatic story of a friend and his girlfriend.

Lee Wan returns through the drama 'In-soon is Pretty'.

Actor Lee Wan will return to the TV screen through the upcoming KBS drama series 'In-soon is Pretty'.

Lee Wan will play the role of Geun Soo in the series that is set to air on October 31st. Geun Soo is the younger brother, though not blood related, who lived with In Soon Yi (Kim Hyeon-joo), and protects her after she is released from prison for murder.

Since his last drama appearance in 'Trees of Heaven' last March, Lee Wan starred in movies and a Japanese drama series costarring Japanese actress Suzuki Ami amongst others.

Lee wan says, "Geun Soo is a character that protects and loves In Soon Yi, not as a woman, but as a person. Regardless of whether it is the main or supporting character, I would like to take on good roles in good pieces".
