Lee Seung-gi Co-hosts a Talk Show

Ballad singer Lee Seung-gi has successfully wrapped up the first taping of the new talk show "Heart of Steel", which he co-hosts with wrestler-turned-comedian Kang Ho-dong. The new program is more like a talk battle program where 24 guest stars talk about a topic in each of two rounds and the winner of each round advances to the finals, where a final winner is decided.

Lee said that he was so nervous about the taping of the first episode that he couldn't sleep well the night before. A member of the show's production team commented that although Kang led the show early, Lee soon found his groove and got along well with his co-host and guest members. MC Mong Returns with a New Album

Rapper MC Mong will come back with a new album after one year and three months. In the run up to the release of his fifth album, "Humanimal", on July 23rd MC Mong released the list of featured artists, which included such hot musicians as Jo Sung-mo and SG Wannabe.

Since his first solo album MC Mong had invited many top vocalists to feature their voices in the songs. His greatest hits like "I Love You Oh Thank You" and "I Love You to Death" each featured g.o.d. vocal Kim Tae-woo and beloved diva Lena! Park. His agency says that he writes songs with certain musicians in mind and asks them personally to feature their voices in his album. MC Mong Wows Japan

Rapper MC Mong seems to have won a new legion of fans in Japan. Korea's pop rapper has held "V.O.S.-MC Mong Big 2 Concert" in Tokyo last Saturday and earned sizzling response from both fans and music critics. Some Japanese fans were already well-aware of MC Mong from such programs as MBC sitcom "Nonstop" and KBS variety show "Two Days and One Night".

MC Mong's representative said that all the audience stood up and joined in the singing during the hour-long concert. His popularity was so huge that concert organizers ran out of all the concert merchandises and MC Mong's CDs. Japanese media is reportedly very interested in MC Mong, because there isn't a group in Japan that performs his type of music. He began to gain in popularity in Japan in 2005 when he took part in the K-pop Concert. Lee Seung-gi Hopes to Appear on Japanese TV

Singer Lee Seung-gi (22), among the star group of the hit "1 Night 2 Days" travel corner on the entertainment program "Happy Sunday", held his first fan meeting in Japan Tuesday at the Laforet Museum in Tokyo.

At the event designed as a radio recording open to the public, Lee surprised the fans when he sang his hit number "You are my girl" in Japanese.

He said, "It's late but I wish everyone a happy New Year", also in Japanese, and confessed that his preparations for the event were difficult and that he was so nervous that he hardly slept.

He also said he was sorry he could not be with his family at home during the lunar New Year holiday but happy to be with his fans in Japan.

He said he was given an award for his role in "1 Night 2 Days" last year and hoped to focus more on his singing this year and be awarded for that as well.
