Sitcom 'Unstoppable Wedding' Becomes Popular in Asia

The daily sitcom 'Unstoppable Wedding on KBS 2TV is gaining popularity abroad after it was introduced in a Japanese magazine.

The first episode, which was first aired in November, features popular veteran and young actors including Kim Soo-mi, Im Chae-moo, Seo Do-yeong, Lee Jeong, Kim Dong-wuk and Park Chae-kyeong. Members of idol group FT Island and Girls' Generation have also made appearances on the show.

The sitcom is becoming popular in Asia, including China and Japan.

The appearance of Seo Do-yeong, Lee Jeong and Girls' Generation has played a significant role in the rising popularity of the sitcom.

Interview requests for Seo Do-yeong have been pouring in since 'Hallyupia'--a Japanese magazine on the Korean Wave--featured an article on 'Unstoppable Wedding'.

Attention is now focused on whether the sitcom will be able to bring about another Korean Wave in Asia....| More

New Face Park Cast for Drama City

Actress Park Chae-kyeong, who played "tough girl" Min Sagang in the recently concluded KBS 2TV drama 'I am Sam', has been cast as the heroine of KBS's "Drama City".

The teen sports drama is about teens who spent their childhood in an orphanage participating in a ball game to win prize money to prevent their orphanage from getting demolished.

'Tae-hee', whom Park plays, is a big help and mentor to fellow orphanage residents and also develops a romance with one of them.

Park is a fast rising star, winning exclusive commercial deals with Asiana Airlines and Nadry Cosmetics. Her delicate emotional acting in 'I am Sam' has also contributed to her acting career....| More
