Singer Lee Moon-sae and 17 other Korean entertainers are planning a week-long trip to a remote Nepalese village to help build a school.
Lee organized the volunteer group for the trip, which has been dubbed the Seollebal Himalaya Expedition. "Seollebal" is a portmanteau of the Korean words "seolleda", meaning "feeling expectant", and "balgeoreum", meaning "footsteps".

The group, which includes actor Park Sang-won, actress Lee Tae-ran, supermodel Park Se-ryen, and film director Han Ji-seung, held an organization ceremony at a café in Seoul on Thursday.
"We want to do something for the poor people of Nepal to return the warmth and genuineness we have experienced in the Himalayas", the group announced. "We will spend a week from May 15 at a village in Dhading working as volunteers".

The long awaited drama, "Taewangsasingi" (The Four Guardian Gods of the King, "The Legend"), starring hallyu icon Bae Yong-joon, finally met its audience on television Monday. A "Taewangsasingi Special" was aired with a sneak peek of highlights from the drama and behind-the-scenes interviews with the director and actors.
The special, aimed to give watchers a better understanding of the complicated storyline, sketched out an overall introduction to the drama and gave watchers a taste of the extravagant sets on Jeju Island and the vast planes of Kyrgyzstan, as well as the spectacular computer graphics that add a fantastical touch.
Scenes from the preview showed a striking resemblance to the highly credited graphics of the "Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King (2003)", and the recent box office hit "D-War", thanks to the drama's massive budget of 43 billion won.

 The Jeju Island set of 'The Legend' will be temporarily open to the public at no charge at the end of the month.
An announcement on the 24th by the local government stated that the 29,000 square meters 'The Legend' set will be temporarily open to the local residents and tourists from the 26th to the 30th of this month.
The theme park will be open for a fee nearing the broadcast date of September 10th.
'The Legend' set has been gathering attention from local residents as well as Japanese tourists as the 'Sandglass' staff got back together including Producer Kim Jong-Hak and Writer Song Ji-Na along with the extravagant cast including Hallyu star Bae Yong-Joon, Choi Min-Soo, Park Sang-Won and others.

TV's highly anticipated release date of its blockbuster drama "Taewangsasingi" ("The Legend", "The Four Guardian Gods of the King"), starring hallyu superstar Bae Yong-joon, has finally been set to Sept. 10. The epic series is awaiting its international release that will stretch across some 90 countries around the world, including Japanese broadcaster NHK.
Despite initial plans for it to air in May, the schedule faced several post-production delays, including large-scale computer graphic works. Currently six episodes are complete, according to its broadcaster MBC.
The drama, shot since February in Korea's largest ever production site on Jeju Island, adds a mythical flair to the string of epic period pieces garnering large followings, such as MBC's hit series "Jumong", which aired last summer until March this year.  Choongnam Development Agency said on the 17th that the historical fantasy drama, "The Legend", which will air this September on MBC, will be filmed on Anmyun Island in the tourist attraction areas.
In order for this event, the Choongnam Development Agency arranged an agreement with a construction company in the area to build open sets and the like. The construction received cooperation from Tae An district and Choongnam Island to have a filming location, and the construction company will look after the sets.
The open sets will film war scenes, and along with the open sets in Jeju Island, these are expected to become new tourist attractions.
According to the Choongnam Development Agency, this upcoming filming will become a great opportunity for Anmyun Island to gain recognition, and as a consequence, it will also help the tourism business for the island.
