Park Jae-jeong, Yoona, Main roles in drama after "Likable or Not"

New actor Park Jae-jeong and Yoona of Girls' Generation were chosen to be the lead roles of a new KBS daily drama.

Park Jae-jeong and Yoona will be the leading roles for "You are My Destiny", a drama to start next month after "Likable or Not".

Yoona plays Jang Sae-byeok, who loses her eyesight but after a corneal transplant, she begins to live a new life.

Ho Se, the heir of a big company, discovers the meaning of true love through Jang Sae-byeok, who has lived as an orphan but still has a bright personality.

Park Jae-jeong is a new CF star, and he has appeared in four commercials, including Prospecs and Shin-han Card. He debuted as an actor in KBS "I Am Sam" and has the opportunity to become the main role for a daily drama.

"You are My Destiny" is a warm family drama. Kong Hyeon-joo also stars for a love triangle, and Sa Mi-ja, Jeong Ae-ri, Kang Seok-woo, Lee Hye-sook, and Lee Pil-mo also star.

Korea Drama Fest Opens in Chinju

The Korea Drama Festival 2006 will start this week in Chinju, South Kyongsang Province.

A variety of events, including drama screenings and celebrity fan meetings, will take place under this year's theme "water, light and stars" in Chinjusong and on the banks of Nam River from Oct. 26-29.

The Korea Drama Festival, organized by Kyongsang Province and the city of Chinju, was launched last year.

This year, not only have a wider range of sights and activities been prepared, but top industry insiders will be making appearances throughout the festival.

The first day will see "Hallyu" stars Kim Jae-won and Park Sol-mi, veteran actors Lim Dong-jin, Bae Jong-ok, Sa Mi-ja open the festival and take part in the follow-up event "The Star". Hong Kong stars Jordan Chan, Chang Min and Japanese Shioya Shun will also be attending.
