Actress Kim Seong-eun and singer Tablo have been chosen as the new hosts of 'Music Bank Live' on KBS 2TV. The new hosts will take over for Ha Ha (Ha Dong-hoon) and Lee Hyun-ji starting February 15.
The producers of the show chose Tablo and Kim for their ability to appeal to a wide range of viewers, not just teenagers.
Tablo, who is a member of popular group Epik High, attracted numerous fans by hosting a variety of radio and TV shows with his polished speaking abilities. Kim has also been gaining her share of popularity through her "tone-deaf" performance on KBS 2TV's 'Happy Sunday'....| More

Actress Kim Seong-eun and singer Solbi will compete for the 'Best Entertainer Award' at the 2007 KBS Entertainment Awards on December 22.
Kim, a popular host of 'Happy Sunday - Immortal Music' and Solbi, a co-host for the third season of 'Happy Together' on KBS 2TV have been selected as candidates for the 'Best Entertainer Award'.
Kim has appeared in the film 'Hotel M: Gangster's Last Draw', the MBC drama 'Thank You' and the SBS Drama 'Gangnam Mothers'.  Actress Kim Seong-eun volunteered as a one day mom at the Holt Children's Services on Thursday.
Kim, the agency's PR envoy, helped out by feeding babies and changing diapers.
A Holt official said, "Kim visits often and play with the kids apart from her official duties. It doesn't take long for even shy babies to smile at Kim".
Kim said, "I love children. I'm just happy I can meet with them more often since I became Holt's goodwill ambassador. Holding them in my arms, I feel so peaceful and their smiles are simply priceless". ...| More

Gangsters have been portrayed by Korean filmmakers for decades. One of the latest developments is the frothy expansion of gangster comedies, forging a stand-alone genre in Korea's mainstream cinema that continues to inspire producers and yet leave a growing number of moviegoers dissatisfied.
"Hotel M: Gangster's Last Draw", to be released nationwide Feb. 23, adds a new variation to the already hackneyed genre: portraying mobsters threatened by, well, pink slips from their corporate-minded bosses.
The premise is that in the aftermath of the Asian financial crisis, Korean gangsters have few other options but to adapt to the relentless juggernaut of capitalism. To survive in this tough winner-takes-all business environment, even rival mobster groups should join forces through a corporate-style merger, and push for no-nonsense restructuring plans.

Lee Joon-ki is currently one of the hottest stars in the nation. The actor plays a charming, androgynous jester from the late Choson Kingdom in "The King and the Clown," the hit film that attracted more than 2 million people within nine days of its release. His television drama "My Girl", in which he plays a happy-go-lucky playboy, boasts the highest viewer ratings in its timeslot.
But while his stock is definitely on the rise, Lee has also found unexpected trouble. It all started from a personal note that he posted on his friend's Cyworld Internet blog. The note, which was lightly written with many emoticons, read, "Japan is my country and I will go there when I am done with this movie. I like pro-Japanese people."
Lee meant the words in jest, but blog users who discovered them were not amused.
