Middle-aged actress Kim Hae-sook will be the main character of "Viva! Love". This is her first main role in 33 years.

Her motherly image changed drastically when she came out as a pickpocket in last year's movie "Open City" and now, she will have a romance with a man 23 years younger than her.

This is a comedy telling of the romance between Bong-soon (Kim Hae-sook) and a 21-year-old man. There is interest in Kim Hae-sook's character, who falls in love with her daughter's boyfriend.

She has lived her life as a mother and a wife, but she meets her true love, who will be played by Kim Yeong-min. Kim Yeong-min has been in plays, "Hamlet", "Bad Magnet", "Rising Lovely Girl", and movies "My Right to Ravage Myself", "A Cruel Attendance", and "Ad-Lib Night".

Soo: Hard-hitting film by CHOI Yang-il (SAI Yoichi)

Korean-Japanese director CHOI Yang-il, known in Japan as SAI Yoichi, is in town with his first film made entirely in Korea with a Korean cast. "Soo", is a hard-boiled revenge-thriller about a man, Tae-su, who witnesses the killing of his identical twin brother Tae-jin. Recovering from the trauma, he sets out to cold-bloodedly avenge his brother's murder in a grisly, exacting fashion.

Actor JI Jin-Hee ("Bewitching Attraction", 2006) in his first action picture, takes up the challenge of playing both roles as the twin brothers. It's the time of the week when we check on what's playing in movie theatres across the nation.
The big news this week is the dominance of foreign movies.
But first, we have a domestic thriller that offers a mix of comedy and suspense.

The Korean film "Educating Kidnappers" ("A cruel Attendance")revolves around a white-collar worker named Dongchul who loses money on stock investments and runs up a large interest debt.
He feels overwhelmed in trying to repay his debts, and kidnaps a rich high schooler who turns out to be a troublemaker suspended from school.
The film's turning point is when the main character receives a call that HIS daughter has been taken hostage.
He is no longer kidnapping to pay back his debt, but to save his daughter.

"The Prestige", revolves around two stage magicians in Victorian-age England.

'Kidnappers' Needs Education to Be Funny

The first and most important mission of comedy movies is to see that the audience bursts into laughter.

But it seems that local directors are often obsessed with the idea that they should also include a new perspective or message at the end of their comedy films.

If their attempt is unsuccessful, however, viewers can get easily lost in between hilariousness and seriousness and the movie can flop.

The new film " Chanhokhan Chulgun" (Educating Kidnappers - "A Cruel Attendance") seems to be a victim of such an obsession.

In the first half, the film succeeds in cracking hilarious jokes from humorous situations, but the remainder of the film bores the audience with the theme of "the importance of family".

The film, directed by Kim Tae-yoon, is centered on the irony of a kidnapper's daughter being kidnapped.
