Popularity rating of dramas in 2007, from top 5 to bottom 5

As the year 2007 ended, the dramas are also changing its path. On 26th, SBS Wed-Thur drama, "Lobbyist" was finished, followed by KBS 2 "In-Soon is Pretty" on 27th. Previously, KBS1 historical drama, "Dae Jo Young" was crowned with perfection on 23rd. The following is the summary of popularity rating of dramas in 2007 (data provided by TNS Media Korea), beginning with MBC serial drama "Bad woman, Good woman" which began on 1st January 2007.

Yoon Jeong-hee Overcame Her Fears on Way to 'Blissful'

Actress Yoon Jeong-hee seems to have changed little since she rose to stardom last year with her leading role as Ja-kyung on the SBS drama "Love in Heaven", a huge hit that drew ratings of some 40 percent. That show secured for her a legion of middle-aged female fans who shed tears for her conflicted character: the daughter-in-law to her own biological mother who abandoned her as a baby.

Now she has returned with a role in KBS 2TV drama "A Happy Woman", playing another challenged woman. But her new character, Lee Jiyeon, is a cheerful, strong single mother who continues to smile even though her husband deserted her for another woman.

Yoon's character is one of the reasons the new show is increasingly popular. With its ratings passing 25 percent in two months, "A Happy Woman" is expected to top the drama chart soon now that MBC's mega-hit drama "Jumong" has concluded.

[TV Review] The title says 'happy' but no one's smiling

I summon the TV drama "A Happy Woman" to the court of TV absurdities on charges of ruining my family's one placid evening during the Lunar New Year's holiday. Sadly, there is no such court in existence, but if there were, I wouldn't have wasted a moment filing a complaint with the Seoul Central Public Prosecutors' Office against the directors of "A Happy Woman".
Airing at 8 p.m. on weekends, "A Happy Woman" happened to be on last Saturday evening (the Lunar New Year's holiday) when my family had just finished Act One of the holiday ritual -- having a feast and talking.
By the time we ran out of conversation topics after hours of feasting, it was time to turn on the television to find a politically correct show that family members of different ages and genders can all enjoy.
A weekend TV drama seemed to be a wise choice, and I quite liked the title, "A Happy Woman", so I tuned into that drama, bringing about my family's unhappiness that evening.
