YOO Ji-tae's short film to Tokyo and Seoul fest

Actor YOO Ji-tae – well known for his roles in PARK Chan-wook's "Old Boy" and JANG Yoon-hyeon's "Hwangjin-y - Movie - 2007" – is successful with the short film "Out of My Intention" (Nado Moreuge) which he directed. "Out of My intention" is invited by the Tokyo based Short Shorts Film Festival (SSFF), and the Mise en Scene Short Film Festival (MSFF) in Seoul.

The Tokyo Short Shorts Film Festival, one of the major short film festivals, opens on June 6 and YOO's short film will feature in the competition section. Afterwards, from June 26 until July 2, "Out of My Intention" will be back in Korea in the imaginative power section of the 7th Mise en Scene Short Film Festival.

Out of My Intention stars JO An ("Project Makeover" - "Go Go Sister"/Eonniga Ganda) and LEE Dae-yon (Camel(s)/Nakta(deul)). The two share a car, but seem to be in different worlds when they try to communicate.

Jeon Ji-hyeon Takes a Big-Screen Gamble

Many Korean star actresses of the small screen have dismally flopped in movies although they achieve brilliant success and earn astronomical amounts of money in TV commercials. Now Jeon Ji-hyeon is taking the gamble, returning to the silver screen with "A Man Who Was Superman" directed by Jeong Yoon-cheol.

She follows in the perilous footsteps of Kim Tae-hee , who recently appeared opposite Seol Kyeong-gu in "Venus and Mars". It attracted a mere 300,000 viewers amid controversy over Kim's poor acting skills, which have been in question since her debut.

Ko So-young, whose beauty defies age, was also unlucky in films. Her movies "A.P.T" and "Go Go Sister" were both failures. And Moon Geun-yeong, once considered the queen of the small screen and the nation's little sister, fell flat on her face with "Love Me Not". Little Prince offers second chance

Debuting director CHOI Jong-hyeon's "Little Prince" is a drama with a feel-good factor which unfolds at a quiet pace. TAK Jae-hoon portrays an alcoholic who is traumatised by the loss of his wife and son, and he is ridden with guilt since he wasn't much of a father or husband.

Through circumstances, the man comes into the life of a chronic ill little boy who was abandoned at an orphanage by his mother when she started a relationship with a new man. The man is reluctant, but after a few meetings, the kind and brave boy melts the man's heart. The little boy is played by KANG Soo-han.

Actress Jo An features as an energetic young woman who works at the orphanage. She has a close relationship with the boy. Jo-an previously acted in "Muoi : The Legend of a Portrait" and "Makeover Project" ("Go Go Sister"). TAK played in "Marrying the Mafia 3: Family Hustle" (""Marrying the Mafia III"").

In conclusion, the interrelationship is inverse proportion according to the trend in 2007 box-office success in Korean film industry. Among the 100 movies released this year, only 4 movies had more than 3 million audiences, including "D-War" (8 million), "May 18" (7 million), "Voice of Murderer" (3.25 million) and "Le Grand Chef" which recently reached 3 million.

Among many movies that went into the black, following are those which closely reached the break-even point, including "Miracle on 1st Street" (Im Chang-jeong and Ha Ji-won), "Voice of Murderer" (Seol Kyeong-gu and Kim Nam-joo), "May 18" (Kim Sang-kyeong and Lee Yo-won), "D-War" (Jason Behr), "Paradise 1986" (Park Hae-il and Seong Ji-roo), and "Le Grand Chef" (Kim Kang-woo and Lee Ha-na). 'Transformers' Named Best Film of 2007

Domestic netizens have named the U.S. blockbuster "Transformers" the best film of the year.

In a year-end online poll conducted by Internet portal Daum Communications, "Transformers" topped the list of best movies of 2007. It was followed by the Korean monster movie "D-War" and the historical drama "May 18".

Foreign blockbusters "Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End", "Spider-Man-Three", and "The Bourne Ultimatum" also headlined the best film list.

The Korean movie "Project Makeover" ("Go Go Sister") was named the worst movie of the year.
