"Autumn in My Heart", "Winter Sonata" and "Full House". These are some of the famous Korean television dramas that have won worldwide popularity among international viewers and created the Korean wave, or "Hallyu".
Overseas tourists take photos in front of the poster of KBS drama "Winter Sonata".
Behind the international success of these dramas among overseas viewers, are the two major broadcasters -- KBS World and Arirang TV.
KBS World, the international television and radio service of Korea's public broadcaster the Korean Broadcasting System, comprises KBS World Radio and its satellite TV broadcasting system overseas.
Since its maiden transmission of a 15-minute English broadcast on Aug. 15, 1953 under the station name "The Voice of Free Korea" which was later renamed "Radio Korea International" in August 1994, KBS World Radio has been considered the country's sole foreign language promotional broadcast to the entire world. The 35-year-old is currently one of the most popular comedians in Korea, hosting four programs including MBC's "Infinity Challenge" and KBS's "Happy Together".
Na, 27, became an MBC announcer in 2004 and is currently hosting a radio program called "Chocolate".
The couple first met during "Infinity Challenge" in 2006, when Na appeared only by voice, asking questions to the hosts of the program.

"I have hosted a lot of weddings, but it's my first time actually being the groom. I am so nervous I'm shaking", Yu said to reporters during a press conference prior to the wedding.

Hit entertainer of "Infinite Challenge", Park Myeong-soo became the first comedian to cross the Military Demarcation Line by an overland route, Wednesday.
"I heard that I am the first entertainer to cross the border through the land route. It is an honor for my family", Park said.

"I did not know that Gaeseong is only 12 kilometers away from Dorasan Station. It is so sad that we couldn't go there because of the division of the Korean peninsula", Park told reporters at the station.
He is famous for his "bawling out", but he said that he would not have outbursts at North Koreans to keep the peaceful mood between the South and North.
Park, who made his debut in MBC's "Gag Contest" in 1993, is a comedian who also...| More
