This is a story of a remarried couple that decides to start a life together despite differences in background and values. After becoming a member of his stepfather’s family, which was eager to have a son, Baek-ho goes through a difficult process of gaining its recognition. But that process teaches the genuine meaning of family, which is not defined solely by blood relation and family name, but by pain-sharing, affection and sincere concern. Always counting on his luck and having no occupation, Baek-ho one day meets the most powerful rival in his life, Dan-pung, and eventually succeeds after starting from scratch. The drama also shows what we should pursue in our lives by depicting the success and failure of another character, Seon-jae, who chooses money over love believing that money is power.

The KBS 1TV daily drama "You are My Destiny" reached viewer ratings of 30% for the first time.
According to the TV ratings research company AGB Nielson Media Research, "You are My Destiny" recorded national ratings of 31.6% on August 5th. The drama began airing on May 5th at 24.8%, but its ratings had fallen into the 10% range since then.
Starring Girls Generation member Yoona and actor Park Jae-jeong, "You are My Destiny" finally unveiled the blossoming love between their characters, Sae-byeok and Ho-se, complicating their relationships with two other love interests, Tae-poong (Lee Ji-hoon) and Soo-bin (Kong Hyeon-joo).
The previous drama which had aired in the same time slot, "Likable or Not", ended with ratings of 40%. Although "You are My Destiny" started out with much lower ratings, it is showing promise of catching up to the previous show....| More

KBS daily drama "Likable or Not", which had ratings up to 40%, ended on the 2nd.
This drama started with the intention to rethink the true meaning of family through the story of a remarried family from different bloodlines, backgrounds, and moral values.
But in the last episode, Baek-ho's (Kim Ji-seok) secret of his birth was revealed, and that purpose faded, leaving emptiness behind.
All the characters rounded off with forgiveness and reconciliation, and it couldn't escape the conventional aspects of the daily drama, which was pointed out as a limitation.
Even with the limitations of birth and the narrow-minded development, "Likable or Not" had record ratings and received love from viewers.
The first reason it was so popular was that the solving of the problems put in suspense in the storyline.
