SBS tackles the thorny matter of marriage in its latest drama, "I Love You - 2008", slated to hit the small screen on March 31.
A spin-off of Heo Yeong-man's hit comic book series "I Love You - 2008", SBS's new miniseries keeps it light and fuzzy in what promises to be a bold and cheeky take on the lives of three married couples.
At the press screening held on Feb. 14 at Sangam CGV, reporters and fans were treated to a two-hour sneak peek at this upcoming series.
Judging from the preview, "I Love You - 2008" ventures into risky territory from the get-go -- adultery, divorce, premarital sex and pregnancy, all within two hours, and, with a comic slant.
When asked about the implications of dealing with such serious matters so lightly, Hallyu star Ahn Jae-wook, who will be playing the lead, shrugged it off with a joke or two:
"Contraception ... yes. There is a lot to be careful about", Ahn, 36, said, jokingly referring to the preview, in which his character, Suk Chul-soo, ma...| More

White-collar Band Sings `Bravo My Life - 2007'

Actress Sin Eun-kyeong is filing for divorce, after her husband forged documents to borrow money from another entertainment company.
The 34-year old actress, who recently starred in the television drama "Bad Couple", married Kim Jung-su in 2003. Sin alleged Kim, who was head of Oracle Entertainment until he left early July, had forged her signature to borrow money from another entertainment company. Now, the entertainment company is demanding Sin pay a little over 400 million won.
Because of this incident, Shin has said she could not trust her husband anymore. This led her to file for divorce. The couple has one son.
Shin debuted on television in the late 1980s, acting in several TV dramas. It was her role as a prostitute in veteran director Im Kwon-taek's film "Downfallen" that propelled her to the limelight.
Her most famous film was the 2001 hit "My Wife is a Gangster", where she played a tough, female gang boss. She appeared in ...| More

The comedy movie "Marrying the Mafia II", starring Kim Won-hee and Shin Hyeon-joon and directed by Jeong Yong-ki, drew more than 5 million viewers nationwide as of Oct. 8, leaving behind its rival, "My Wife Is A Gangster", and setting a box-office record among Korean comedy movies.
The movie's distributor, Show Box, said on Oct. 9 that "Marrying the Mafia II", which opened Sept. 7, had drawn 1,356,942 viewers in Seoul and 5,287,702 viewers nationwide as of Oct. 8, one month after its premiere.
The previous record-setter, "My Wife Is A Gangster", drew 5.29 million viewers in September, 2001.
"Marrying the Mafia II" also broke the record of its predecessor, "Marrying the Mafia", which drew 5.2 million viewers its opening month. The feat stands in stark contrast with the sequels "My Wife Is A Gangster 2" and " Hi, Dharma 2: Showdown in Seoul", both of which failed to attract as much attention as their more successful predecessors.
