Ji-hae and Soo-kyoung are friends attending the same university and both have a crush on Sang-min who is in their drama club. The more clamorous and outgoing of the two, Soo-kyoung, asks Ji-hae to do her a favor - write a love letter to Sang-min. Ji-hae pours out her own feelings for him on paper, but sadly in her friend's name. Touched by the letter, Sang-min is attracted to Soo-kyoung, and Ji-hae, feeling uncomfortable and even guilty, tries to avoid him. And yet by coincidence or by fate she keeps running into him.
Ji-hae has lived alone with her mom since her childhood, when her dad unexpectedly passed away. Her mom is now on a trip abroad, and to wile away her solitude she starts cleaning the attic. There Ji-hae finds a secret box, in which her mom kept the memorabilia of her first love story of some decades past.
Summer in 1968...
Joon-ha is visiting his uncle's home in the countryside during his summer vacation. There he meets Joo-hee and falls in love at first sight. One day, the lovely Joo-hee secretly asks Joon-ha to escort her to a haunted house in the village. Happy and excited to be at her service, Joon-ha meets her at their promised spot. But in an unexpected storm, the two lose their boat and barely manage to return home at a very late hour. Joo-hee gets into big trouble for this incident and is sent back to Seoul. Having parted with Joo-hee without a word of farewell, Joon-ha spends the rest of the summer heavy-hearted.
With summer vacation being over Joon-ha also returns to Seoul. At school, his classmate Tae-su asks him to write a love letter to send to a girl. And who would it be but Joo-hee, Joon-ha's dream girl. Unable to confess his own summer love story, Joon-ha reluctantly complies with his friend's request.
In recent years, there have been some significant reverberations of the Korean cultural wave, Hallyu, at India's doorsteps. In July 2006, the Korean Drama Emperor of the Sea was for the first time introduced in India by the national broadcaster DD-1. =We don't have a lot of NGs. With Kim Joo-hyeok, there is a lot of affection as lovers and a couple. There is a lot of time we have to spend together. If we're awkward, then it won't seem real. After trying to act natural, it just became comfortable. Our director used to ask us to be serious for just one minute, but now, he jokes around even more than us.

With MBC's new drama "Spotlight", viewers will get a glimpse into the lives of broadcast news reporters covering the city beat.
"Spotlight" depicts the journey toward success of a passionate city desk reporter Seo Woo-jin, played by top actress Son Ye-jin. Ji Jin-hee from the hit drama "Jewel in the Palace" ("Dae Jang Geum") will star as her strict, yet caring mentor, Oh Tae-seok. The drama will follow Seo's drudge through the grind to eventually become an anchorwoman.
At the press conference held last week in southern Seoul, reporters and camera crews swarmed the room for a shot of Son.
"Spotlight" is the first drama in two years for Son, 26, who has starred in movies like "The Classic" (2003) and "The Art of Seduction" (2005).
"I read the synopsis and had a strong impression. I especially liked the fact that (Seo) continues to strive to achieve her dreams. I was captivated by her passion and energy", Son said.
"My Sassy Girl" (Yeopgijeokin Geunyeo) director KWAK Jae-yong's latest film "Cyborg Girl" will be cinematically released in ten countries, including Korea. The romantic comedy is a Japanese production and stars the Japanese actors Ayase Haruki and Koide Keisuke in the leading roles.
"Cyborg Girl" will kick off its grand international tour in Japan on May 31. KWAK wrote and directed the romantic film. The big budget film includes several special effects laden scenes.
Ayase Haruki plays the titular cyborg girl who becomes involved with an earthly university student, portrayed by Koide Keisuke. Cyborg Girl is somewhat quintessentially KWAK as the sci-fi film features a dominant (cyborg) girl who doesn't hesitate to use physical force against the man of her affection, similar to "My Sassy Girl".

Korean film "My Girlfriend Is a Cyborg", directed by esteemed Kwak Jae-yong, is opening the Yubari International Fantastic Film Festival to be held from March 19th through 23rd.
Once applauded as the model of successful small film festivals, Yubari Film Festival was suspended after 17 years in 2006 because of financial difficulties. Supported by filmmakers, fans, and citizens, however, the festival was resurrected this year with a severely cut 40-million yen budget.
Director Kwak Jae-yong has special ties to the Yubari Film Festival. He won the grand prize in the festival's Young Fantastic category with "My Sassy Girlfriend" starring Jeon Ji-hyeon in 2002. In the following year the festival invited him as a judge for the Young Fantastic category and also another one of his work "The Classic" with Jo In-seong and Son Ye-jin.
