Synopsis
In a peaceful barbershop, a timid barber confronts a stranger who has started to send blackmail notes. Whenever the stranger comes to the barbershop, the amount he demands becomes greater and greater. He even seduces the barber’s beautiful wife. The barber is no match for his cruelty and cunning. Driven to desperation, the barber hires a detective, who discovers a shocking truth about the blackmailer.

Actress Seong Hyeon-ah will tie the knot with a businessman in December. The wedding ceremony will be held at 1 p.m. on Dec. 9 at the Paradise Hotel in Busan.
The 32-year old Seong will marry a businessman named Hur, who is a year younger than her. However, no other details regarding her fiance are being disclosed.
The wedding will take place in Busan at the request of her future husband's family who has ties there.
Seong met her fiance in March through a mutual acquaintance. Both their parents are supportive of the marriage. Her future mother-in-law reportedly liked Seong so much that she wanted the couple to get married this year.
Seong is known for her strong, sexy roles in Kim Ki-duk's "Time" and Kim Tae-eun's "The Intimate" ("Lover"). She also starred in "The Customer is Always Right", "Cello", "The Scarlet Letter" and "Woman is the Future of Man".

The program collects movies concerning the war and its effects made from the 1950s to the present. This weekend, "The Winter of That Year Was Warm" (1984) by Bae Chang-ho, "North Korean Partisan in South Korea" (1990) by Jeong Ji-young, "Spring in My Hometown" (1998) by Lee Kwang-mo, and "JSA - Joint Security Area" (2000) by Park Chan-wook will be screened. Along with "Weekend Classics" program, four movies set in the Choson Kingdom, will be screened at 7:30 p.m. every Wednesday at the archive. Tickets for each screening are 2,000 won. KOFIC has announced the recipients of the first round of the 2006 Subtitle Translation and Print Production support program. Six feature films and five short films were selected out of 27 total submissions (15 feature films, 12 short and independent films). The program provides funding for the production of a subtitled print, with specific arrangements to be made by the film's producer or international sales agent.
A second round of applicants will be considered in late 2006.

What if you have a dark secret you don't want disclosed and somebody else wants to exploit your vulnerability? "The Customer is Always Right" (Sonnimeun Wang-ida) is an intriguing fable about such a situation where inevitably, main characters collide with each other.
The story begins in an extremely clean, well-lit barbershop. Ahn Chang-jin (Seong Ji-roo) is the proud owner and self-taught professional. He does not spare money to purchase the best scissors and hair-cutting equipment; he cleans the white-colored shop every day as if no dust is allowed to step into the sacred place; he plays only classical music for his respectable, high-brow customers.
The reality, however, is that Ahn's barbershop is one of many obscure places in the equally plain back streets of Seoul. It's nowhere near the upscale district, but Ahn's peculiar obsession with the best equipment, high-brow taste, and the extreme cleanliness is entertaining.

In the trailer of the upcoming film "The Customer Is Always Right", four people mysteriously appear out of the darkness. Who they are, is only explained by such brief, vague descriptions as "a barber with a secret", "an inscrutable temptress" and "a strange intimidator".
The trailer offers few clues about the film yet successfully arouses an undeniable curiosity. After seeing it, what else can you do but go out and buy a ticket? And that's exactly what Choi Seung-won wants people to do.
The trailer director said the key to making a successful teaser is capturing the most appealing element in a movie and maximizing it.
"You need to come up with the right concept that can represent the whole film in a few minutes, and it should also be appealing enough to make people ache to see the film", Choi said.
