Lee Jeong-jae denied the scandal with Im Se-ryeong, first daughter to Daesang Group and claimed he will take legal actions.
A media released a report on the 18th saying, "Lee Jeong-jae and the first daughter of Daesang Group chairman Im Chang-wook have been seeing each other lately and they will be getting married soon".
He told Sports Dong A in an interview in the morning, "We are just friends, we are not in a relationship. "
He continued, "I didn't even flinch when the news came out after hearing all sorts of things from around me. This time, my father was mentioned in the news. I thought this is the time for me to step in".
He emphasized that he met Im 5~6 years ago through friends and they are still just close enough as friends.
He said, "I told my parents too but they scolded me asking me why I can't just be clear that she's a friend".
About the Philippine's trip in 2010 with Im, he said, "It was a trip for our own business and matters". About the entering the building which belonged to Im in Seoul, he said "I went in there through an agent and it has nothing to do with her. I only needed an office to start my business and there was no other objective".
Lee Jeong-jae sent a report to the media through a legal representative, "Legal action will be in action for the report on marriage".
