Star entertainer Lee Seung-gi will debut as a singer in Japan in March and hold a solo concert at Budokan in Japan in June. During the press conference held at MLB Cafe Tokyo in Yebisu on January 30 before his official debut in Japan, almost 150 news reporters came to cover the story.
Lee Seung-gi sang the title song of his debut single in Japan entitled "Alone in Love" and his hit song "We're Friends". Concerning his plan of holding the concert at Budokan, he said, "I am very glad about holding my concert at such a good venue where only special singing groups can have this great opportunity". Lee Seung-gi will be recorded as a singer who has come to hold a concert at Budokan only after three months after his debut among Korean singing groups.
In addition, Lee Seung-gi revealed that his personality and behavior that he has shown on the variety program "Two Days and One Night" are very close to his real personality. He also said, "If I can ever have the chance, I want to appear on a program in which Korean stars and Japanese star go to trips together".
And he gave a witty answer for the request to appear in a romantic comedy in Japan by saying, "I would like to appear with the actress Ayase Haruka, but I want to play a man with few words as I am not good at speaking Japanese yet". For his last comment, Lee said, "I will do my best to hold activities as a singer and actor like I do in Korea. I want to interact with many Japanese singers and actors, as many as possible in Japan, and we can hopefully someday produce a program in which all of us appear together. I hope that the program will be broadcast both in Korea and Japan at the same time.
