YesAsia Editorial Description

From the creators of hit comedy/drama Sassy Girl, Chunhyang comes their latest work, My Girl. Lee Dong Wook stars as Gong Chan, the heir to a large company fortune owned by his ailing grandfather. Bedridden, he spends his days regretting his past decisions - in particular when he severed ties with his own daughter (Gong Chan's aunt) because she fell in love with a man deemed unsuitable. She gave birth to a baby girl, but then his daughter and her husband died in an earthquake. To this day, Gong Chan's grandfather has been trying to track his granddaughter down.

One day Gong Chan meets the young and energetic Yoo Rin (Lee Da Hae), who instantly reminds him of his aunt. This gives Gong Chan an idea to make his grandfather's dying wish come true. So begins a complex relationship between the young couple. My Girl also stars hot new actor Lee Jun Gi (King And The Clown) as a playboy who falls hopelessly in love with Yoo Rin, and Park Si Yeon as a spoilt young tennis pro who sets her sights on Gong Chan - and will do anything to get him!

Romantic Comedy Customer Review Rated Bad 9 - 9 out of 10
What happens when 2 cousins fall in love with the same girl who's paid to pretend to be someone she isn't? Paid by Xue GongCan to pretend to be his grandfather's longlost grand-daughter, I like everything about the pretender except when she is in a drinking stupor and needs someone to carry her home. Overall this drama series is pretty funny...I wonder why I didn't watch it earlier! Lee Da Hae alone is reason enough to watch this. HIGHLY RECOMMENEDED and not as much a tear-jerker as GLASS SLIPPERS. Yo..my review is done. myqute

Good Girl not Great Girl! Customer Review Rated Bad 7 - 7 out of 10
It's difficult to give this a completely raving review as I found some faults with it sadly! It was a good drama but it fell short of being a great one!

First of all, it deserves to be said that Lee Da Hae practically carries the drama all by herself! She's absolutely adorable! Not only is she a very beautiful girl but quite a scene stealer! Each scene she's in brightens up the entire picture! Her acting is very good and she's beyond sweet with her crazy antics and high energy!

Some picks I have with the drama is it ends quite abrupt! I wish it had a bit more of a romantic ending! Everything was neatly tied up at the end and our hero and heroine do get together however it just really happened too quickly!

Lee Joon Ki supporting role was much better than Lee Dong Wook's very stiff, unemotional role!

I felt like Lee Joon Ki was portraying way more emotion then I ever seen Lee Dong Wook express!

Speaking of Lee Joon Ki he's very beautiful eye candy and he does a wonderful job with the role he plays although you do have to be a bit of romantic too appreciate his very emotional display for a girl he's barely gotten to know very well! Seeing Lee Joon Ki cry is enough to make anyone shed tears! It was quite a weird display of emotion when he really hadn't gotten too involved with our young heroine but it was interesting to see such a bad boy character brought to his knees by such a sweet girl!

Lee Dong Wook also is a very good looking man however he failed to really convince me of his emotions as he spent about 99% of the drama with a scowl on his face! He seemed very stiff during the entire drama and even maybe uncomfortable! Sadly, I don't think he did that great job or the way the character was written might be the problem!

Park Si Yeon deserved a beating in this. Seriously her antics were ridiculous! Going away for two years and coming back making demands and claiming Lee Dong Wook character as her own and going so far as she did was absolutely awful! She deserved a nice, hearty slap! But so K-Dramas go right? What it be without the jealous character!?

Overall, it was a cute drama however I was wishing for more! I felt it got wrapped up way too quickly! I'd have liked a flash forward a few years to see the couple happily married, with kids maybe, etc........but they choose to end it with the "real" granddaughter and her BF...it seemed a silly way to end this drama!

I give it 7 out of 10! Cute and good but not Great!

Pretty Good. Customer Review Rated Bad 8 - 8 out of 10
My Girl is a pretty good drama. I thought that YooRin was a cute character and the two male leads were very likable, and it was hard for me to decide which one I liked the most. Lee JunKi was particularly charismatic in his role.

There were many funny moments, and dramatic moments as well. But, I did find myself getting annoyed at the amount of crying YooRin does. I thought that there would be more impact to her tears if she hadn't cried so much in each episode. Even through her tears she still remained likable. Overally, I thought that this series was enjoyable and worth watching. The English subtitles are excellent!

best kdrama! Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
this is definitely the best kdrama ive seen. the plot was interesting and there were a lot of funny parts in every episode. lee dahae is the main reason why this drama is so great. she's such a good actress (totally different from her role in green rose) and makes you like her so much. lee dongwook was good too, and he and lee dahae had great chemistry together. and even though i dont really like lee junki or park shiyeon, i have to admit they weren't bad at all. the soundtrack was nice too and really matched lee dahae's character. the supporting characters (like yurin's friends and gongchan's secretary) were fun to watch too.
i really frequently watch a random episode from this show, just because it was sooo good. this drama is DEFINITELY a must-see.

great drama - bad subtitles Customer Review Rated Bad 8 - 8 out of 10
I love this drama (laughed and cried), but the English subtitles are so bad that they completely ruin some scenes. It's disappointing that the production company doesn't value foreign fans highly enough to porvide decent subs.
