In the case of Bae Yong-joon, two books 'The Secret of Bae Yong-joon' and 'The Secret of the Prince of smile, Bae Yong-joon 2' have published and these books cover hidden stories at shooting locations, dreams he had before his injury, and a captivating story about an incident during a commercial shooting at a foreign location.
However, there is controversy over whether or not the "Secret" series is a trustworthy source. There seems to be question surrounding the agreements with celebrities or their managing companies since the book covers display the portraitures of stars, not their photos.
"These books are attractive because intriguing stories about Korean stars are hard to come by in Japan". states a 30s old Japanese woman at a bookstore in Shinjuku. "People buy these books out of interest but do not trust 100% of what they read. The trend just continues to solidify that the Korean Wave Stars are also popular in Japan".
