K-pop group Super Junior has sold all the tickets for a concert in Taiwan in record time, according to its agency, SM Entertainment. The agency said on Jan. 4 that all of the tickets made available on Jan. 1 were sold within 17 minutes.
A third of the tickets for the show, called "Super Show 4", went on sale on Dec. 31 and were sold out within half an hour. On the following day, the remaining tickets were made available and snapped up by fans.
This was an unprecedented record in Taiwan, and local media reported the feat of the band, according to the agency.
SM Entertainment added that due to demand, "An additional date was added to the show that was originally scheduled to run from Feb. 3-5".
"Super Show 4" will now begin on Feb. 2 and run until Feb. 5 at the Taipei Arena. An estimated 40,000 fans will see the show over four days.
Meanwhile, Choi Si-won and Lee Dong-hae from the band are currently starring in a Taiwanese drama, "Extravagant Challenge", that is being aired on the island. The two entertainers were in Taiwan in early December for a press conference to discuss the drama.
