Director Jang Jin and actress Ryoo Hyeon-kyeong will host the closing ceremony for this year's Busan International Film Festival. The ceremony will begin at 8 p.m. on Friday and will signal the end of the nine-day event, now Asia's largest film festival.
The festival's opening ceremony was hosted by two actresses, Ye Ji-won and Eom Ji-won - representing the first time in history two women had hosted the opening event.
The 16th annual Busan International Film Festival saw a lot of changes this year, starting with the new Busan Cinema Center, which will serve as the main venue for the festival from now on. The $140 million complex was designed by architectural collective Coop Himmelblau.
Jang is a regular at the festival; his film "Good Morning President" was the closing film at the BIFF in 2009. Former child actress Ryoo has been in the limelight recently with roles in last year's "Petty Romance" and "The Servant".
