After his mother is brutally murdered by the Thai mafia, Soo Hyun (Lee Jung Ki) gets adopted by Min Ki (Jung Kyung Ho, )'s father, a National Intelligence Service agent. Years later, both Soo Hyun and Min Ki have followed in their father's footsteps and become NIS agents. As fate would have it, Soo Hyun and his childhood love Ji Woo (Nam Sang Mi) reunite after years of separations. Life takes a different turn when Soo Hyun is assigned to a case involving the Thai mafia and is forced to relive his childhood nightmares. 태국의 범죄조직 ‘청방’에 어머니를 무참히 살해당하고 NIS요원인 중호의 집으로 입양되어 들어온 수현(이준기)은 중호의 친아들 민기(정경호)와 나란히 NIS 요원이 된다. 어린 시절 태국에서의 애틋한 만남 뒤에 한국에서 운명적으로 재회한 지우(남상미)와 미래를 약속하는 수현, 그러던 어느 날, 수현은 ‘청방’과 관련된 작전에서 태국의 악몽을 떠올리게 되고, 이로 인해 작전은 실패로 돌아가게 된다. NIS요원인 정부장은 혼란에 빠진 수현에게 ‘청방’에 잠입수사를 제안하고, 수현은 정부장과의 거래를 통해 NIS의 언더커버 요원이 된다. 사고 사로 위장하여 자신의 과거를 숨긴 채 복수를 위해 ‘청방’에 침투하는 수현. Kay라는 거짓 신분으로 방콕의 뒷골목을 누비게 되는데…
