A video clip in which the famous Korean singer and actor Rain answers questions for an interview with the weekly U.S. magazine TIME has clinched the top stop in the "Most Popular Videos" on the magazine's website.
As of June 10, the video web coverage segment, 10 Questions for Rain, where the 25-year-old star of Hallyu (referring to popularity of Korean pop culture overseas) answers 10 questions chosen from a pool of user submitted questions is ranked first on the most popular video clips from the magazine.
For the interview, TIME's editor-in-chief selected ten questions from the countless number sent in to the website (http://www.time.com/10questions, http://www.time.com/time/video/) by Internet users all over the world.
This is the third consecutive year that Rain has been linked to TIME.
The star, who recently appeared in the Hollywood movie Speed Racer was chosen for the "TIME 100" list in 2006 becoming the first Korean entertainer to make the annual list and walked the red carpet with powerful figures such as U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice and movie mogul Jerry Bruckheimer.
In 2007, Rain was ranked number one on the online voting system set up for the "TIME 100" and introduced as "Asia's Prince of Pop".
Thanks to his well-toned body and dynamic dance moves, which exude masculine charm, Rain has ridden the crest of the Hallyu, or Korean wave.
