Girls' Generation Yoona will join Jang Geun-seok as a couple. She is currently adjusting her plans for the drama coming next year, "Love Rain".
According to an official, Yoona is adjusting her schedule along with her groups and only has to sign the contract now.
The drama will start shooting as soon as Yoona gets on board. An official said, "It was hard to find someone with the 20's innocent image. As much as she has shown her abilities in the drama "You Are My Destiny" and "Cinderella Man", we have high expectations from her".
"Love Rain" is a fantasy melodrama that tells the story of how love in the 1970's passes on to the next generation. Jang Geun-seok and Yoona both play 2 roles each.
"Love Rain" is also done by producer Yoon Seok-ho and writer Oh Soo-yeon from "Winter Sonata".
As top stars and an outstanding crew team up for this drama, "Love Rain" is thought to be the second wave of "Winter Sonata".
Jang Geun-seok has solidified his base in Japan and Asia following Bae Yong-joon, and Yoona gets attention over the whole world for her role in the girl group Girls' Generation.
Producer Yoon Seok-ho has the Midas touch for creating several Hallyu stars like Song Hye-kyo and Won Bin in "Autumn in my Heart", Song Seung-heon and Son Ye-jin from "Summer Scent" and Han Hyo-joo from "Spring Waltz".
