Actor Won Bin, who received much acclaim for his role in "Taegeukgi", met with his Thai fans at the premiere of "My Brother", which was held Jan. 12 at 7:30 p.m. (9:30 p.m. Korean time) at the Major Cineplex in Bangkok.
Won Bin attended the premiere along with the movie's director Ahn Kwon-tae. The actor was warmly welcomed by the audience of more than 500 people, who filled the premiere venue to its capacity. Bin, who visited Thailand for the first time, said he had no idea he had so many fans in this country.
Sources say Bin's visit to Thailand was quite unplanned, stating he was suddenly invited to Bangkok by the movie company that had imported "My Brother". "Taegeukgi", in which Bin co-stars with Jang Dong-gun, has also received a favorable response in Thailand recently.
Won Bin is one of the "hallyu" stars who has many ardent fans in Thailand and whose popularity has skyrocketed since the TV drama "Autumn Fairy Tale", in which he starred, became well known abroad.
