Idol group 2PM will play a part in teaching the Japanese public about the Korean language. Beginning in April, the group will appear on a Korean language program on the NHK channel. In the program "Korean Lecture through TV" the boy band will lead a five-minute segment called "2PM's one-point Korean".
Within the designated segment the band members will teach the viewers about common Korean expressions as well as catchphrases useful for travelling in Korea.
2PM made its debut in Japan last year and successfully completed a Japanese tour late last year. The group will perform a six-day consecutive concert at Nippon Budokan in Tokyo during this summer.
Nippon Budokan is a concert venue that has a maximum seating capacity of 10,000 people and is called the "dream stage" for Japanese musicians who aspire to fame.
The celebrated K-pop band will release a best of album on Mar. 14 containing a hand-picked selection of tracks requested by fans. The "2PM Best: 2009 to 2011" album will consist of Korean-released versions of the band's songs. Individual members of the band are also rising to fame on their own – Chansung and Taecyeon starred in a Japanese drama last year. Currently Nichkhun is in Thailand playing the role of a support actor in a Thai movie.
