Actor Bae Yong-joon Introduces his Own Kimchi Brand in Japan

| Source | 2008/08/19 | 49 views | Permalink | 0 comments Share
Actor Bae Yong-joon will collaborate with Nonghyup Korea and introduce Korea's main staple, kimchi, to Japan.

Bae, who has been managing "Gosireh"--a traditional Korean restaurant located in Tokyo--since 2006, will begin selling "Gosireh Kimchi" starting September 4.

The kimchi, which uses only Korean ingredients and is made by Nonghyup Korea, will be sold for 600 yen per 300 grams in large supermarkets and Isetan Department Store in Japan.

Over the past two years, Bae has been working hard to promote the taste of Korea to Japan through his Gosireh restaurant. A "Gosireh Dosirak", a packed lunchbox that features 16 different kinds of side dishes, was introduced in Japan through the Seven Eleven convenience store and gained huge popularity among Japanese consumers.

demy our king has been working very hard to promote korea to other part of the world. He is indeed doing his country proud. Do you know that the korean wave started in asia after his drama Winter Sonata and never subside till now. The Legend is his excellent drama after Winter Sonata. The TV rating in korea itself can prove it . Don't u think that ? Anyway I think u could be not his fan.
