Actress Lee Mi-sook (age 52) is going to be minus quite a large sum of many, according to the latest court ruling.
The Seoul Central Court ruled on November 28th that Lee will have to pay 19.6 million won plus interest to her former "T" management agency for breaching the terms of her contract.
The court stated, "Lee Mi-sook had signed a contract with "T" agency, under the conditions that she would receive a base of 50 million won for the contracted period of January 2006 to December 2009. However, she left in January of 2009 for another "H" entertainment agency and thus she needs to pay a cancellation penalty fee. Though the original filed demand was for 200 million won, only about 100 million of that seemed appropriate. Various payments were then subtracted, including some payments she had yet to receive and some 80 million won in bond interest, to reach the final payment decision".
"T" agency had filed a lawsuit in November of last against Lee, demanding for 200 million won in compensation. Lee is currently in the middle of shooting for the "A Thousand Days' Promise" drama.
